Which, by Dem logic, means it is a major cut because it wasn’t as much of an increase as was asked for.

The current deal seems to be a resurrection/combination of 7 appropriations bills that would include something in the ballpark of $1.6 billion in border security/wall funding.

In other words we are back right where we started. This is the $1.6 billion that was previously approved but then cut out of this budget and now will be reinserted back into this budget. So no $5 billion at all.

If Mitch undermines Trump the Trump needs to go scorched earth. I would burn the GOP to the ground and then live the rest of my life in paradise.

Unfortunately, Paradise was burnt to the ground in the Camp Fire.

Funding for a wall is a huge win for Trump. It also places the argument solely on funding and not principle which then becomes an easier hurdle in the future.

I'm wondering if the deal isn't discussing how to be politically expedient with overriding the veto

That would be a huge loss for Trump and GOP.

McConnell isn’t about to let a shutdown go own while workers miss out on checks for 39 days. The media is gonna run government workers losing money during holidays on loop. Come on, it’s political malpractice to shutdown with so much time between sessions. The timing is awful.

To make it look like a victory. As in they went from 0 to 1.6 billion.

I dont want him to take it, but i could see it happening
