It’s going to be $1.6B for security, not specifically for wall.

No it isn't. At all.

1.6B is nothing. The left will hammer him in 2020 about never building the wall and he will have cucked out again on his base.

I'm wondering if the deal isn't discussing how to be politically expedient with overriding the veto

This would require 2/3 in both House and Senate?

I can see Flake, Corker, the dumb bitches from AK, ME caving. That still leaves 11 R senators. I could see 5-6 cucking but not 11.

(Eta for autocorrect)

Also my math is off. They need 17 Rs to flip (49 D + 17 R = 66). AK, ME, TN, AZ + 13 more. No chance.

Their word is NO GOOD. Action or a shut down. No more promises what they say they can do next year they can do right now.

I DARE them to override a veto.

Wat?

New Congress starts Wednesday 1/3. That isn't 39 days, more like 12 days. 1 paycheck.

Let me guess...
Schumer: You give in to us now, and we'll give you what you want later. Trust me."

McConnell: "'K...sounds good. You promise right?"

Nobody gives a shite about a govt shutdown. There was a 46 day shutdown under Clinton.

Evidently Mc Connell is scared spitless of a shutdown and Schumer isn't thrilled at the idea. Their lobbyist buddies must be pressuring them it cuts into profits, not to mention all the government workers.

So y'all have moved the goalposts so far that Trump getting a steel fence that won't even make it across California is a win?

Pathetic.

Even greater reasons why a shut down will be completely forgotten a path after its over. If you think it will impact 2020 you're out of touch.
