Mayor Pete being considered seriously is proof the Dem Party is insane

The utter silliness of Mayor Pete being competitive is that it would be completely absurd that he even be considered if he were anything OTHER than gay.
The man is the fricking mayor of a town with 100K people.
And, people in the party that made fun of being Governor of Alaska as experience are seriously talking about him?
The man has utterly zero qualifications for the job. People may want to act like being gay is a negative in America...........but being gay is the ONLY reason anyone even knows this dude's name.
The truth of this just shows that liberals in 2019 are engaged in an almost surreal worship of identity politics above all else.
The man is the fricking mayor of a town with 100K people.
And, people in the party that made fun of being Governor of Alaska as experience are seriously talking about him?
The man has utterly zero qualifications for the job. People may want to act like being gay is a negative in America...........but being gay is the ONLY reason anyone even knows this dude's name.
The truth of this just shows that liberals in 2019 are engaged in an almost surreal worship of identity politics above all else.

To be fair, this can be applied to most of the democrats.
Beto is the most ridiculous candidate I’ve seen come down the pipe in a while. The fact that he has millions of voters and donors is lost on me. Who would vote for him? What kind of mentality does it take to vote for him?
Bernie Sanders? Seriously? A leftist that barely ever had a real job and has been a small town mayor and Vermont Senator all his life? Not to mention his ideas and policies are complete jokes. Who would vote for him?
Joe Biden? In government for 50 years with really nothing to show for it. Not to mention he babbles incoherently and often doesn’t know where he is.
Warren? A fake Indian that lied about her ethnicity to enrich herself and has been in academia all her life? Not to mention she wants to spend tens of trillions on government healthcare and stop fracking which would kill our energy independence and hurt our economy.
Who would vote for these people?

Call me crazy, but Mayor Pete, while annoying and hypocritical, is one of the few Dem candidates who is even marginally impressive

I honestly could not care less that he’s gay.
But you are right. That is THE ONLY reason the left likes him. It’s all he has.
