Explain to me. How will the removal of statues change how the Lexington economy and education system works?

How will this improve people's lives in a practical manner? Just curious since DisplacedBuckeye is a coward and won't answer any questions that he feels uncomfortable with.

I have no explanation because I don't agree with the erasing of history. I'm a fan of the quote "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I think that the statues should stay for that very reason.

It won't have an effect on Lexington's economy either way. It's all about who can make the most noise that this point.

From the Prog Manifesto:

All things prog are permitted and embraced

All things not prog must be removed and destroyed

I agree. They should all just go home and just let the statues stand.

Or go home and let them be removed. Either is an acceptable outcome.

Between this and all of the lefties gloating yesterday, I'm convinced liberals want this.

All these mayors don't know how to actually impact anything positively in their cities.

So they settle for empty gestures and platitudes.

Actually, Lexington has been rated one of the best managed cities in the country in the last few years. I think that this is just a mayor trying to prevent the shite in Charlottesville from taking place there.

Good for Lexington. Traitors to the US don't deserve monuments.

Dude, no one gives a shite about Kentucky. It's an ignorant state in a shitty part of the country, and is totally irrelevant outside of horse racing.

He's a text book liberal. White guilt due to coming from a super rich family who started one of the biggest construction companies in KY, Gray construction, and he's a homosexual and announced it publicly a decade ago.

Amazing he is still mayor... he lost 1st time he ran when I still lived there, but heard he won the next election when Obama won.

You sound like a tribalist idiot, like the Ohio State type dorks that invaded the MSB to tell us all how underrated the Big 10 is. Or the New Orleans types who talk about how cultured the city is when it's a cess pool. No one cares, and you didn't build that shite anyway.

What a great idea, imagine if we could just eliminate opposition parties. One party rule is where it's at, amirite?

I have no idea what you're trying to say. I don't really care either. I love my hometown and I support the mayor. The same mayor who was re-elected by a landslide in his last election.

I'm going to bed though. Have to be at the office at 8:00 a.m.

I am kind of messing with you guys for feeling the need to pimp your state but am still mostly serious. Kentucky is definitely a shithole. A long time ago when I was in high school, they would send kids on mission trips to Honduras, Arizona (Navajo), and goddamn Kentucky.

He was reelected in a landslide. He's a good mayor.

He didn't run in 2006. His first run was in 2010 where he won.

Fayette County Clerk General Election 2006

He didn't even run in the primary election in 2006.

Fayette County Primary Election 2006

You either got your elections mixed up or you lied.
