I am kind of messing with you guys for feeling the need to pimp your state but am still mostly serious. Kentucky is definitely a shithole. A long time ago when I was in high school, they would send kids on mission trips to Honduras, Arizona (Navajo), and goddamn Kentucky.

Most of Kentucky is a shithole. Lexington is actually a nice city though.

They're not tearing it down. they're moving it from downtown to veterans park, which is 20 minutes from where it currently sits.

I've lived here for about four years and love Lexington.

Now isn't the time for that no matter if you think the statues should come down or not.

I want to agree with this because it feels like the right sentiment, but when would be a good time? What guarantee is there that the jackasses won't materialize at any time in the future so they can "celebrate heritage"?

More statues will come down under DJT than all previous presidents combined.
