He charged at a cop. The police went out, not a mobile mental health crisis team.
Again, both Baton Rouge and New Orleans have mobile mental health crisis teams. You don’t hear this kind of things happening. And they do this several times a day.
Police are in no way shape or form are trained or equipped to deal with mental health crises effectively

Obviously, it is rocket science for you. They might not have a knife when the call is made but when the social worker shows up and they get a knife, it's too late at that point. FFS. You are dealing with people with mental health issues, people that are unpredictable with every decision they make. Better safe than sorry.
Licensed mental health professionals deal with people in mental health crises every day, at least those professionals who deal with the seriously and chronically mentally ill. It’s what they do for a living. You mostly hear about these things happening with police officers. Although it does occur, it is extremely rare to happen with a mental health professional.

True, but it is impossible to embarrass a leftist, so....

Undermining his hard working police officers is generally a bad idea
Latoya did it and it backfired

Unless of course, the person is committing a crime, then both should be called out.
Says the semi-pro video game player who has never been robbed/mugged in real life. A given situation can go to shite incredibly fast.
Do yourself a favor, go look up police response times and get back to me. And that assumes you are able to make the call.
I also wish your utopia was real life, but it isn’t.

What about when someone calls about a family member in a mental health crisis who is acting out violently?
Because that’s what happened here.
Yall think the police are looking to be included where they aren’t needed?

Yes. Licensed mental health professionals deal with unarmed people in mental health crises every day. Incredible take.

Democrat policy runs on the blood of innocents.

It’s an important step.. making sure your crazy foot soldiers are viewed with empathy and free to commit violence as long as their social worker is kept in the loop.

What do they do when the crazy person starts harming others? Call the cops? Watch? Bend over? Blow a rape whistle?

So the crazy guy can charge unarmed social workers with his knife instead of cops, right? Does that make sense to you? Why do you want social workers to die?
Posted on 2/4/26 at 7:47 am to BoomerandSooner
A rottweiler on a 35' chain will certainly correct schizo's behavior without lethality unless needed.

The vast majority of the time they’re able to prevent that from happening. If not, they call the cops. Unless the information is left out, They weren’t called out in this case.
