Saw an article that LV airport passenger traffic is down for the sixth consecutive month.

One of my friends I’ve known for 25 years is a DJ out in Vegas at one of the big clubs and he said it’s fricking brutal and when they do get a crowd it’s a bunch of stuck up snobs playing on their phones all night. He said it sucks because only rich people pay $150 cover charges with $28 dollar 8 Oz drinks - he said the vibe in Vegas is horrible right now - all the fun normal people are going to Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans to party

Not dying - it will evolve. I’m here now and yes, it’s expensive on the strip but I’m glad it’s not Walmart or Carnival

Headed out to Vegas the first week of December

Most of that increase is from YouTubers losing their arse.
I could not fathom betting 50-100 dollars a spin and losing tens of thousands of dollars a day at the casino.

Gamblers are really stupid.
That’s how Vegas came to exist.

You have it all wrong! Casinos making big money off of gamblers means they aren't paying out what they should. It means gamblers should NOT go to Vegas because they are taking too much from the games.
The entire Vegas market was based on 52/48 win ratio. They lure you in for the 2 percent chance you might come out ahead. The city makes their money on the back end of hotel accomodations, entertainment and dining.
Casinos taking a big profit means there is no reason to travel to Vegas. You might as well stay home and play the bingo slots if the wins are short. At least dinner will be cheaper.

Grew up there. If you go back make sure to check out Mt. Charleston and Red Rock. Both gorgeous places….

Back when I lived there (long time ago) the buffets were incredible and cost a couple bucks. I’m talking huge buffets, steaks, shrimp, etc.

Vegas has a legit problem but its that they are pricing regulars out of the market.

Vegas like most things was better when the average person could afford to visit.

Casinos are just a tax for sucking at math.
