Is there a dumbfrick post of the day contest going on?
If so, you winning.

Did I say that I was referring to anyone on this board? If you think that this is an isolated incident you may want to do a little research on Parkland. Same thing there. Cops stood outside behind their vehicles defending the parking lot while unarmed football coaches ran from the football field into the school to save the children. At least one of the coaches died.
Unfortunately there’s still way too many bootlickers. The back the blue campaign was successful.

quote:No. Most local and State cops exist to just write tickets for moving violations. Most local and State cops are just like the 150 cops that protected the parking lot and detained emotional parents who were hearing gunshots coming from a building, that their kids were in.
Most local and state cops are good people who want to serve and protect.
Most local and State cop do not leave the house "to protect and serve". Some do, but not most.

Or maybe it will teach voters to vote for police enforcement and not for leaders wanting to convert police into social workers. Pretty clear how that worked out.

No thank you. I’d much rather the police from the protect and serve era than the long arm of the govt era of militarized “law enforcement”.

Cops fail to make arrest in 40 percent of murders nationwide.

Here's the deal. The authority from that badge and gun attracts a certain type. Not all, but a lot. That's how you get a bunch of them hiding behind their cars, while little kids are getting shot, over and over.

So, which jobs are seeing the most fatal accidents and injuries? They’re mostly the same ones that have earned this notorious distinction for years. For 2020, the top 10 most dangerous jobs were (source: BLS):
Logging Workers
Aircraft Pilots & Flight Engineers
Derrick Operators in Oil, Gas & Mining
Roofers
Garbage Collectors
Ironworkers
Delivery Drivers
Farmers
Firefighting Supervisors
Power Linemen

It is getting harder to argue incompetence vs ill will. I understand your sentiment- but, it is better to err on the side of caution. Statistically, the cops are not the (intentionally) bad guy. You are more than welcome to join the force- and be the change you would like to see. That said- you would likely have to do things that you’re not willing to do- in order to get the power you need- to make the change that you desired before you became a part of the problem.

We will do what we did for 150 years without you.
You dont protect shite.
Thats been proven over and over.
Modern police are nothing more than another arm of government and i think uvalde just proved it.

They barely graduated high school and had no other options. Nobody picks a job that makes 40k / year on purpose.

Blame the leadership, not the Officers.

I think you’re a coward.

I get that you hate cops you’ve made that abundantly clear. Uvalde was fricked up and those cowards need to burn for their incompetence. No one disputes that. In a country of 330 million people what will happen without the police?

An attorney friend told me that when they interview potential jurors when a cop is being charged with a crime, that there are always potential jurors who say that they "could never convict a cop".
Fair enough, that is certainly irrational. Sounds like the flipside of wind-up toys chanting ACAB.

Forget what the Uvalde Police did or didn't do. Why did the teacher prop the door open in the 1st place and then fail to close it after seeing Ramos crash and begin firing at the funeral home employees?

People just have to realize that the majority of cops are just regular people with a bit more grit and courage. But, even though they may dress like them, they are not Navy Seals. We expect them to act like Seals in a gunfight, but it is not rational to expect this from most of them. We watch too many cop movies.
You sound like a woman.
How long has your husband been a cop?
Posted on 5/27/22 at 10:44 pm to AUCom96
More kids have been killed in school shootings this year than cops in the line of fire. “Not statistically significant” “not a regular event” am I doing it right.
