This is an attempt at independent observation here, after looking closely at Gaetz’s exact wording and other relevant context. I do not think it’s accurate to say that Gaetz was specifically referring to a “motion to vacate,” that was seemingly introduced by “x users chiming in on his tweet.” MG’s words can and probably do mean something(s) other than this action.

Didn't a Cat 3 just hit his district this week? People displaced and homeless? And yet this little d'cked POS is still focused on this soap opera. He is sooo beltway swamp i don't think he even remembers he is from the actual swamp.
You'd think with the storm he'd put the X down - spend a couple less minutes with the hair gel - and do something real for his constituents. Could you even imagine someone like Clay Higgins, after a storm hit Lake Charles, doing anything less than 24hrs straight helping recovery?
How are these guys even the same species let alone same party?

When Trump said the above it is very obvious he was referring to the "MOTION TO VACATE" rule being added back to the chamber rules. That was a huge victory for the people. Because of the rule change, the GOP could now hold their nose and vote for "the man with the haircut that rivals Newsome."
You see, Nancy Pelosi had removed the "MOTION TO VACATE" rule during her time as Majority Leader.

Accusing someone of grandstanding when they are just forcing McCarthy to live up to his promises is ridiculous.
The inability of the GOPe leadership to wield power effectively is almost beyond belief and is the reason why most voters on the right believe they are just pretending to advocate for any of the issues they run on to get elected.
Id say that if they didn’t want Gaetz to treat them like Democrats they should stop running the house like Democrats, but that’s unfair to the DNC because they have been extremely effective at advancing their initiatives in the last 20 years.

You don't think the narrative on Hunter and Joe changed after the house judiciary went to town on their investigation of their actions in Ukraine?
Not only did the media have to acknowledge it, it exposed with mountains of evidence that the DOJ and FBI knew everything and actively suppressed the investigation and release of the evidence to the media while lying to the public with regards to the contents of the laptop.
It took a "right wing conspiracy theory" and turned it into reputable stories that still persist on the MSM nightly news and have greatly impacted the odds of whether he will even run again in 2024.
If you don't push back you will always lose which is exactly what the GOP leadership has done basically since Newt Gingrich lost power in the 90's.
Its become a party of grifters run by people who don't know how to do anything but lose slowly.
