When they do the major motion picture on Rosa Parks maybe they’ll cast a blond, blue eyed, white woman.
Or maybe when we do another movie on the life of Martin Luther King they’ll cast Timothy Chalamet as Martin Luther King. Seriously, why not?

It’s kind of sad they literally have no history to do a movie on.

They are going to do a biopic on Mike Tyson and they are thinking of casting Elliot Page.

I was very excited for this movie. Such a shame. No chance I go see it now.

I know it was confirmed the black woman was Helen of Troy, but it was still rumors that Page (honestly, have no clue who she is) was playing Achilles.
Has it been confirmed now?
Has it been confirmed now?

Going from Brad as Achilles to Elliot Page is the most insulting thing ever

I’m more offended that Helen is not beautiful than I am that she’s black.

Christopher Nolan has confirmed a casting twist for his upcoming “mythic action epic,” The Odyssey.
Lupita Nyong’o plays both Helen of Troy and her sister, Clytemnestra, in The Odyssey. Confirmation comes from a profile of the celebrated director in Time magazine, which also includes Nolan’s defence of the The Odyssey from complaints around historical accuracy.

This is the part I dont understand, obviously race swapping characters/historical figures will make the races who are being swapped out annoyed, but why would you even want your race swapped in? We all know you weren't there so it just ends up being a alternate fantasy interpretation of the story/event where race overshadows everything. If they made a story about ancient tribes in sub-saharan africa, I wouldn't want or expect the white race to be represented, because we weren't there.
It would be like the browns showing up to the patriots trophy case to take pictures. Its more embarrassing than just sitting back until you have your own stories to tell.
