quote:

“YETI severed ties with the NRA and is now engaging in damage control after a backlash from many of its customers. In early March, YETI refused to place a previously negotiated order from NRA-ILA, citing ‘recent events’ as the reason – a clear reference to the tragedy in Parkland, Florida. YETI then delivered notice to the NRA Foundation that it was terminating a 7 year agreement and demanded that the NRA remove the YETI name and logo from all NRA digital assets, as well as refrain from using any YETI trademarks in future print material. While YETI is trying to spin the story otherwise, those are the facts.”

I will say the bolded part confuses me based on her original post.

I think because the two instances are separate. The first instance they stated recent events. The termination of the agreement they didn’t cite anything.

I took that to mean "recent events" was not a necessarily clear answer.

The damage is done; Yeti may as well put Greenpeace stickers on their stuff and sho....hope, for the Lib crowd to buy their Brand.

This will send a clear message to Companies that dis the Constitution.

I don’t think they realize that probably 70% of their customers are Trump voters and outdoorsmen. Hipster douches from SoCal aren’t buying $500 ice chests.

Probably, but I gave the benefit of the doubt to the northerners and west coasties.

Either way, a majority of their customers don’t agree with yeti on this.

“Hipster cooler company”

Wtf is that? When I see YETI, I don’t think hipster. That may be who they need to target now that they ruined their real market

Yeti just fricked themselves big time...were they overpriced? Yes, but they had a loyal following that was willing to pay...now they simply gave them the one reason, and a very good reason, to buy RTIC or any number of other coolers that are just as good and way lower in price...

The NRA should offer a larger logo sticker to their members. They could call it the "cooler cover", and make it large enough to cover the Yeti name.

Or they cancelled their IPO because they didn't want to go public while supporting the NRA?
