Please. NRA members are some of the whitest and wealthiest in this country. Very few of them reasonably need their guns for self defense either.

It may also be a function of prosperity, and the attendant costs that arise from our wealth. The amount of money invested in a child, in order for them to be a successful member of developed society, is worlds beyond the cost of a child in the developing world. We may have priced ourselves out of large families.

Absolutely. And it’s not a bad thing, it just is. The poor across the world have big yet poor families, just the way it is. Japan is facing the same thing.
