He was never going to run . It was just a way to get a bonus on his way to retirement. This guy plays everyone to get more money in his pocket .

He acted like he would dissent a lot of times. And then Schumer/Pelosi would have a closed-door meeting with him and he would subsequently be in board with their agenda instantly.
He knows how to work the system to pad his bank accounts nicely. He has never been an actual, viable opposition though. Just like most of the opposing GOPe, he is controlled opposition.

Manchin wasn’t doing a one man protest on personal reasons. He had a swing vote and wanted a massive payoff to deliver it on the right issue.
