I'm not comparing the details of the two matters because it is obvious that the Democratic leadership is FAR more likely to utilize totalitarian, illegal and unconstitutional methods. It's quite obvious that the Democrats are controlled by the Left and the Left's objective is always to utterly destroy and, if possible, imprison their political "enemies".
My best educated guess is that, in 100 years, the USA will have been transformed into a leftist globalist totalitarian satellite state of a global government. IMHO, we are already witnessing the beginning of that process.

You definitely are nuts if you are comparing the act of investigating the deaths of US Government employees (including an Ambassador) which was attempted to be explained away as "reaction to a YouTube video" with the systemic eavesdropping in an effort to keep a party in power.

Americans were killed in Benghazi due to our own sec of state failing to send backup. That warrants an investigation! The ambassador asked for more security prior to his death. Our Secretary of State lied to the world saying a video caused the attack. That investigation was not politically motivated. It just so happens that pretty much everyone in politics on the left is a criminal. Investigating their OBVIOUS crimes is necessary, not politically motivated.

That's exactly what a FISA warrant allows for. FISA literally shreds the 4th Amendment as do man provisions of the Patriot Act
