I mean, he's right. How often have you had to listen to extremely accomplished black people decry the inability of black people to succeed? It makes literally no sense.

If white people were conspiring to keep black people down, what was so incredibly special about all of these black people who are either extremely talented, smart, attractive, athletic, hard working, etc. that enabled them to succeed? Oh wait...maybe all of those traits, same as what enables every other person to succeed in this country.

Need to find out who that man is. Nails it.

Realize as well that part of the issue is a lot of upper middle class and middle class blacks are effectively bought off by affirmative action style policies. If you are an upper middle class black person with 2 parents and go to a good school you have a MASSIVE advantage in applying to schools and getting scholarships due to your minority status. Doesn't matter if you have never had the slightest bit of oppression in your life of course. Then while in school and after you graduate you will have companies and organizations tripping over themselves to hire you because you are black and help their diversity numbers.

A lot of black folks have figured this out and are more than happy to milk the system, why wouldn't they? Certainly, why fight it and take on the ire of people when the system is rigged in your favor?

Thomas Sowell has written about this. The end result is you have a kid that should be going to Tennessee based on their grades that goes to Vanderbilt on full scholarship. They struggle because they are going to a school and taking classes over their heads so they end up either dropping out or shifting to a degree in African American Studies or something else worthless, then they can go work in a Diversity department for a Fortune 500 making bank. If they had gone to UT though they could have been where they were academically qualified and could have gotten a degree in Business or Engineering or the like which would be far better for them and for society as a whole. That does nothing to serve the big business of Diversity, Inc. though.
