They can sell the 2nd property now and cash out before values drop, or hold onto it while it decreases in value and pay extra commie tax on top of current high NY property tax.
Google “nyc property tax rate” if you have good cardiac health.

What is surreal to me is that the bulk of NYC citizens voted in a Muslim - and a communist one at that - less than 30 years of a direct Muslim attack with many lives lost. The fricks that voted for this? Deal with it. The folks that did not - hopefully they can get out of that mess.

The polls and a number of people I've known who moved South, have been conservative which allowed the commie Muslim to win the NYC mayor's office.
There is stratification going on.
My daughter's best friend complained that she didn't want all of these damn Yankees moving down to NC. My daughter reminded her that she was from NJ. Often people who flee the leftist nutty and high tax places are more strident about liberals moving in than those who don't really know how much liberals can frick things up.

This is a silly take. How many people with second homes over $5 million in value are going to “leave” NYC when they don’t live there in the first place?

So why would someone have a second home in NYC worth more than $5M if they have a primary there as well? Or, am I wrong altogether and they live elsewhere but have a 2nd in NYC?
