LOL…..New Yorkers have been “moving South” for 60 years. South Florida used to be known as the 6th Borough. The people Mandami is referring to have already moved here or another tax-friendly state. They were chased away by the NY State income tax. Now the state is vindictively hitting them on the 2nd homes with a property tax surcharge. Those people didn’t get rich being stupid. Many of them will just convert these properties to long-term rentals to get an exemption but Mandami will still look like a hero for the Eat the Rich socialists for standing up to The Man.
