1. Main issue: By creating a divisive "us vs. them" campaign that helps form a city but ensures that a break-away district will never happen. If an ISD was the end goal then they sure screwed themselves. The way they've gone about things has guaranteed that they will NEVER get the parish-wide vote needed for an ISD.

2. Leaders of EBR school system are going to be hesitant to take on any debt in order to invest on infrastructure in unincorporated areas because they will be paranoid that SG will just take it and run away. (I don't support this behavior but you know that's what will happen.)

3. When the SG ISD is officially dead, it will be bad/harmful publicity for improving schools in SEBR that have a lot of potential now that deseg is dead. If it weren't for the SG debacle, there would probably have been more confidence in the outlook of schools in SEBR - relative to demographic composition of the area.

So you're saying 'were' means the same as 'never was'? Dumb, very, very dumb.

Geez man , do I have to link the definition of the word "were" ? I just assumed that you knew what it meant.

My kids were in gifted programs . Let's not make things complicated now.
Hint, were,
w?r/
second person singular past, plural past, and past subjunctive of be.

Got it?

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again today., you are way way off your game.

Seriously if you believe you just gave me an arse kicking then I don't know what to say .

Maybe I'll get one of my feeble minded kids to come explain it to me, but I doubt they can. I suspect they'll discover a nut job on a message board trying desperately to score points against an imaginary dragon.

Since you have such a low post count, I took the extra minute to purview your insight on this debate. While russian can be aggressive and nasty, he brings actual substance to the debate. You on the other hand bring nothing but bullshite. Now go ahead and respond with your wonderful and colorful dialogue.

I do know what it means.

"Were" could mean they attended the gifted program and even graduated from high school while in the GT program. So "were" could mean they no longer ARE in the GT program because they graduated. Got it?

Only after I posted my link to your "were in gifted" program you subsequently explained you "took them out" of the GT program and put them into private school.

Even so, that does not take away from the fact that my original statement was accurate. Your kids attended EBR schools in the gifted program. That's a fact. Unless you now say you lied about it.

Do you mean such as building or rebuilding three new schools in the SG area? And adding more magnet programs in those schools? You're right...what a waste!!!
The tax increase was approved by East Baton Rouge Parish voters in 1998. The tax was renewed in 2003 and again in 2008. Since 2003, the EBRPSS has built 12 new schools. You stated that 3 new schools were built in the St. George area. So at most one quarter of the construction was in the St. George area. Not quite proportional to geography or population, and that doesn't take into account the renovations and expansions which also occurred disproportionately inside Baton Rouge city limits.

As opposed to parents who live in the incorporated part of EBR who only want their kids' schools to get worse, right?
Don't go putting words in my mouth. I've never written anything derogative about the parent of school children living inside Baton Rouge city limits. I'm 100% certain they want better schools, and education, for their children as well. They may not have the same issues as the parents living in unincorporated areas. All I've ever written is that the issues of the parents living in unincorporated areas have not been addressed satisfactorily.

If you think I'm a pitiful poster because I want people to have the opportunity to try different approaches to solve problems, then I can only conclude you are a close minded reactionary. Your, I know more than anyone about every topic, style of posting without the least bit of good humor has become quite boorish. You are not an authority on every topic. Stop pretending you are.

Wrong.

SG's population = approximately 1/4 of the population of EBR.

SG's geographical area = approximately 1/4 of the area of EBR excluding the combined areas of Baker, Zachary and Central which have their own school systems and budgets.

Stop, Poodle, you're embarrassing yourself. Go back to giving tax advice on the Money Board. You know what you're talking about when you do that.

In this thread you posted this and I called you out for it,

But doubleforgetfulb has posted on this board that his kids don't (didn't) go to private schools.

My kids did attend private schools.

Now you reinvent the argument to cover your tracks which is a tactic you use a lot.

You are dead arse wrong AGAIN.

People here see what is going on.

You don't evaluate capital programs by the number of schools built. You look at the number of dollars spent.

A big high school like BRHS could cost more than three elementary schools.

Study the construction dollars spent not the individual projects.

Which you explained today only after your "both my children were in the gifted program and bussed out of our neighborhood" post which you made weeks ago and which I relied upon in making my statement that your kids didn't go to a private school.

Is that so difficult for you to comprehend?

Typical vanilla response from you.. I can only assume you are such a dolt and afraid to actually bring any cognitive debate to the table. That way, you can never actually be wrong in your mind and appear somewhat capable on the debate..but really you just sound like a child.

You ASSumed and you know what happens to people who ASSume, they tend to make an arse of themselves.

I'm not going to get in a circle jerk with you . You are way too stubborn to ever admit a mistake or own up to a mistake.

Now quit eating my time with your nonsense and find that link to the 38 million dollar fact .
