Yes and as SFP will probably attest to, I have been calling it out since then. It is literally the only thing that keeps the RE market afloat so I see it more than you do on a daily basis.
No one wants to be the one to let it end on their watch so I don't understand why that is a knock on Trump. Its sad that it is the status quo but who wants to cause worldwide economic crises leading to WW3 by forcibly ending it?
Sadly, the best we can hope for is that as consumers it doesn't impact us much and the best way for that to happen is to keep inflation somewhat in check which Trump did prior to 2020.
Its a hole we have dug into and the can keeps getting kicked down the road.

Trump has simply changed the nature of the REpublican Party.
Trump's ideals are now Republican ideals and will be for awhile.

Agreed
Like I said, I don’t drink wine daily or even weekly anymore so I don’t mind dropped a couple hundred a bottle when I do for something I love.

Dang it - he replied to a post of mine - wonder why
Found my post
My original points on this issue of Trump was the significance of hatred - and as we see it was still there - almost 100% of democrats hate him - pretty much hate everyone
But, in all honesty, MAGA has transformed into a nice populist America first movement and I am the most proud I have been to be a republican as I've been in a long while

Please table an honest assessment- I wonder how many " trump" supporters will be around in 2028. And I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way but if he loses this upcoming election... what is the actual basis for support?

You can't have a serious discussion about it because you are always dishonest when discussing Trump's impact on inflation because you group in 2020 which was an unprecendted economic time.
I don’t think he is dishonest. He honestly doesn’t understand economics outside of the three facts he learned on wiki. If you get outside of those parameters he is completely lost.

If you like Caymus, check out wines from Ribera Del Deuro. Tempranillo instead of cab but they can be similar, but much better wines at a better price.
Or lower end bordeaux like Lilian Ladouys. Better wine than Caymus to me for less than half the price.

That was our engagement gift from my buddy. We’re going to open it on our 1 year anniversary

Then why the false belief that the economy was humming under Donny?
It was built on debt.
quote:
President Trump has been in office for three years, which is enough time to analyze how the economy is doing vs. his statements on how it would perform. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis released its first estimate for 2019’s fourth quarter GDP growth and for the full year. For the fourth quarter GDP growth came in at 2.1%, which was the same as the September quarter and for the full year it fell from 2.9% in 2018 to 2.3% last year.
It appears that the tax cuts that started in 2018 helped for one year but don’t have much of a carryover effect. The promise that they would pay for themselves has not materialized as the Federal budget deficit has ballooned to $1 trillion levels not seen in a non-recessionary environment.
The outlook for a slower economy caused the Fed to lower interest rates and increase its balance sheet, which led to the stock market’s rallying in 2019 even when corporate profits were essentially flat. While the Phase One trade deal has been signed with China, its outlook was murky even before the Wuhan coronavirus hit. Its goals looked to be overly ambitious and didn’t tackle the really tough items on the agenda.
Trump used the same tricks to manipulate the economy you folks criticize Joe for.

For the record I'm not saying it as a personal attack on Trump, but as a variable for which he will be blamed/judged. That's why I was sure to say the can kicking has been done by 2 GOP and 2 DEM admins up to this point (about to be a 3rd GOP admin if they can do it).
This isn't specifically for you, but some of the less refined types are lurking this thread, waiting for their chance to score internet points.

I am obviously no economist but I understand where we are and I understand why no one wants to be the one to deal with it. Roger would have us crash the world economy just to act like that is the ultimate libertarian/conservative move.
I have said for years the economy (especially the RE market) should have seen a correction by now and is artificially propped up. I am not sure we know how to get out of it at this point and that is why MMT has been adopted by all parties when they are in power.

Its simply a fact at this point.
He has single handedly changed the nature of the party. Republicans are now a Centrist party, favored by blue collar workers, anti-war, big spending/big government, low taxes, heavy deregulation, trying to favor American business interests and keep money at home instead of overseas, and mostly staying out of social issues.
I will never agree with the spending and big government approach, but the rest of it is pretty good. To deny it at this point is to deny reality.
Its a singularly remarkable achievement. He will go down as one of the most consequential figures in American political history.

Some of my favorite wines are Portuguese and loved the wine tours and tastings we’ve done there. I tend to not like Spanish wines as much due to peppery taste most have.
I do love Cava and have almost completely switched there over champagne these days.
