And of course interest on the debt, which is now bigger than defense spending. No politician can (or dares to) do anything about it.
Thats not true. Trump has a plant to keep debt interest under defense spending… by spending more on defense! 39th degree chess!

GOP admin runs up debt, sends country into a death spiral. DEM admin spends subsequent term trying to fix it. Rinse. Repeat.

The debt is so large we need both (1) inflation and (2) economy growth. …

Regarding inflation, he keeps calling for interest rate cuts. Not his fault the fed wont comply.
If money printing was a path to wealth, counterfeiting would not only be legal, but encouraged.

Trump is doing everything within his power to address this issue.
You need a Civics lesson junior! Congress controls the budget and flow of money.
I would add, have some patience. The trillions of dollars of committed investments will take some time to make a difference in our economy.

Stupid amd short sighted idiots like the OP watch too much TV. They believe everything should be discovered, evaluated, and solved within an hour.
Real life is different from the TV baw.
Grow up, grow a pair, stop being such a whiner and loser.

The Dems don't care. They will happily do it as soon as they have a majority and a Dim president again.

Blame it on Trump, but we can't get the Senate to put anything to vote, much less debate it on the floor.
Budget bills can be passed with a simple majority. What budget bill has Trump proposed, or supported that aren’t getting moved through Congress?

Much of the current spending and growing interest was already in place.
This was true in 2019. Has Trump proposed going back to 2019 spending levels? Link?

Dude defense spending is a rounding error in this problem. If you don’t understand that then I don’t know what more I can tell you.

Why hell would Elon want EVs subsidized. They sell every Tesla they build. All subsidies do is attract and help competitors with higher production costs. Good grief.

You’re dumb if you can’t figure out why losing a $7500 consumer tax credit is bad for a company.

Biden added 9 trillion to the debt.
And Trump not only CR’ed his budgets multiple times, he primaried anyone voting against those spending bills, and. via the OBBBA, is outspending Biden.

Punting to Biden is a no go at this point.

Its not. Adding another $700B to annual spending isn’t going the right direction . It’s ~30% of our current annual deficit. It’s indefensible.

yes! we need to reintroduce the middle class to the concept of paying income tax!

the top 10% of returns pay 70% of all income taxes while 63% of merican's pay no income tax.

here's the good news jethrine our debt to gdp depending on how it's calculated is roughly 100 to 120%
china and japan's are over 300% and both those countries are in demographic death spirals.

but if you're as concerned about this as you pretend to be, then you should buy gold (off 400 dollars an ounce in the last 4 months) and freeze dried food!
