This comes from the assumption that all of the political right are fundamentalists, so of course if they attack with the bible it'll be effective. And it's silly because the right, more than the left when it comes to voting, is diverse in beliefs.
When I hear a leftist using the bible to defend a position, or attack an opponent's position, my instinct is to respond with "great, now do abortion!"
BTW Herod might not have needed to have babies executed had leftist policies been in place during his time. Single pregnant mother.

And they were travelling within the Roman Empire. Why would there be walls to divide the Empire, the Romans build walls to keep the trash out and they failed in the end because their barriers failed.

I'm sorry, but the fact that large swaths of people in this country are stupid enough to fall for this rhetoric is a sign that this country's political future is in trouble.
By this logic, no country is allowed to control or regulate the people entering it, wall or no wall. Also, we allow asylum seekers. I'm preaching to the choir here but the shamelessness of leftist rhetoric is truly disgusting.
