I'm sure she was the most qualified candidate for the job.

Interesting. LSU now has African American Women as Dean of the Law School and Dean of Admissions at both branches of the LSUHSC Medical Schools.

They could have had Bill Corbett

Stupid motherfrickers

I’ve been pissed at their choices since I graduated. It’s the sole reason I dont send them money.

This isn’t just the LSU law schools. This is happening at every single company and government entity in America.

I worry about it more with medical schools.

Resigned from Memphis Law School due to a lack of minority hires.

Going to law school in Memphis where there is no law and order.

Nothing. He’s brilliant and loved by his students and connected with actual practicing attorneys who solve real problems for people instead of making up problems. Plus - he has experience in the administration.

They should have hired him. He earned it and deserved it.

Instead, they gave it to some woman who went to a random law school in Memphis to show how woke we are.

I realize that conservatives have lost control over LSU a long time ago and have shown zero interest in getting it back, but Republicans are laughably weak and easy to take over. Louisiana is no exception. They think if they give the woke people a little here and a little there that it'll be no big deal. No, they take the whole thing over.

In the Louisiana legislature you have woke crap going on, grilling people about if they hire enough blacks, are they helping blacks, etc and it all has real change. Meanwhile, Republicans in Louisiana let it happen. They do nothing because they think it won't affect them.

I didn't find out about the secret classes until 2L or 3L year (and it was a shite show), but my legal writing class had a lady explaining how she did the summer class. She lasted about a week of real school

The LSU Graduate School waived GMAT requirements a year after I started my MBA online for data analytics. I had to take the GMAT to get in and now LSU can’t figure out why minority students can’t pass managerial stats and BADM 7200 (Econ with calc) and have failed out of the program, due to not obtaining the 3.0 GPA requirement to remain in the program.

What law allows the ABA to do this? I know it doesn't have anything to do with laws, but just wondering where the legality lays.

ABA’s Standard for Approval of Law Schools

If you want to write the bar exam in any state or territory you must graduate from an ABA approved law school, per state bar rules that govern the admission of candidates to practice law.

Now, some states do not require you to graduate from an ABA approved law school if you graduate from a non ABA approved law school within the state for which you intend to write the bar exam and that specific law school has specific approval from the state bar in which it is located.

Wait til this happens with the medical field but the unqualified still get passed through out of “the interests of justice” to practice medicine.

Feel comforted.

I've always wondered if we are doing a disservice to people by constantly admitting them to institutions where their peers IN THOSE INSTITUTIONS will basically always be a tier or two above them academically.

Thomas Sowell has written extensively about this.

Not shocking with who LSU's President is.

Are you just throwing this out because of the noise when he was hired or because you think he has done a bad job?

Virginia Military Institute Alumni Withhold Donations to Fight Diversity Agenda

Alumni of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) are leading an effort to redirect donations toward a foundation that directly benefits cadets and away from the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda.

Well, I agree with you. I am not happy about this hire, but I did not realize Bill Corbett was an option at this point.
