If there is a place that’s fun eventually the thugs will ruin it.

The North part of campus and down Highland was once a sea of old school tailgaters. LSU banned that to "save the oaks" and now there is a vacuum.

Yup always showed up early in the 104 lot my entire life to tailgate. LSU shut that down and we started arriving 2 hours before Gametime.

The last 5-8 years we have been questioning even that.

Got rid of our tickets and parking pass last year and haven’t looked back.

I haven't been to a game in Tiger Stadium for several years, and reading this thread makes me sad.

I have to ask. Is gameday as bad as you all are describing? I have tried to come back periodically for a game but not sure I will again (600 mile trip).

I stopped going several years ago because it took hours to get to the hotel/bar after the game. This just seals it.

I went to the game as a USC fan, first time I’d ever been to BR and will be the very last. Highlight of the trip was seeing Mikes enclosure and Mike, your stadium is super nice, but smelling weed all day, seeing fat black women shake their asses in the middle of the street and seeing sketchy looking dudes with dreads walking around knowing they weren’t there for the game made me and my group feel like we took a wrong turn and ended up in Harlem or some place. We even tailgated with some LSU fans that invited us and they even said “yeah it’s bad and getting worse.”

Seems to me, more the point may have been, you had something that was once a very laissez faire self-regulating type environment that you’ve now over regulated and nickel and dimed to the point that many of the people who were good at self regulating in a laissez faire atmosphere now just don’t feel like bothering with it all anymore.
Nailed it.

Mrs. 19 is STILL not speaking to me (the HORROR ) cuz yesterday I decided driving 5 hrs to BTR to sit in 2 more hours of LSU traffic, in spite of free tickets and parking pass, was most definitely NOT worth it.

Lots of choices that don’t have the ghetto flare. Not just BYU.

The current laws are being followed. They’ll always be punks carrying illegal firearms. Try to stay safe and hope the punks shot one another. P.S. weed is legal because the state makes a ton of tax money off of it.

Totally AGREE. LSU would charge for breathing if they could.

Went to my last game ever 3 weeks ago after being a season ticket holder for over 22 years. The game day experience is just not fun anymore. The blaring music, lack of Golden Band playing tunes, and crappy degradation of human behavior in general, has me yelling, “Get off my lawn!!”

I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of this.....because you can get the exact same experience in downtown BR or many other SEC downtown areas.

Remember when LSU was the ONLY school requiring COVID Jab cards to get into a game?

that was in 2021. i gave up my season tix once that was enacted. F tate.from the sounds of what i read on the rant the tailgating has went to shite as has the gameday experience. they said too many thugs smoking dope and hoes lookin like 2 dollar strippers. glad i am done. we never had issues tailgating dealing with riff raff or shooters for over 20 years. oh well it was a good run. LSU better get it under control or they will lose their arse once people stop going.

I went to Tiger Stadium a couple of times as a visiting team fan when I was in college in the late 90s. I remember seeing a bunch of total smokeshows and a fun stadium atmosphere.

Sad to hear about this degraded gameday experience.
