After all, the historical record is quite clear.
Sad but true. History has shown that once nice areas and activities go to shite, they stay shite and only get worse. This has happened time and time again in BR. It’s heartbreaking.

This had started to happen in the 70s at LSU. It didn’t get to as far as it is now but the origins were the same. Luckily we hired new leadership and turned it around but this time I don’t think it stops until we hit a breaking point. Too many dumb people in power over there

What policies could be put in place to protect folks that don’t want to get shot or forced to inhale 2nd hand weed smoke while attending a football game?
The policy of finding another team to support.

Remember when LSU was the ONLY school requiring COVID Jab cards to get into a game?
The LSU school is as woke as any other university
Do not confuse that eth the football program
Bring in the National Guard to Baton Rouge and New Orleans
Problem solved

Pretty much. The whole neighborhood from the Chimes to down town needs to be systematically brought up and razed. It’s been a dream of mine for 3 decades.
I could see Todd Graves doing this.

The roles have reversed.

They could start by deregulating tailgating again and stop charging for spots. They ran people off that had been tailgating at their spots for 30 plus years.
My mom called Joe Dean’s office just before the end of his tenure and chewed him out about having season tickets in the family for 50 years and still not being able to buy a parking spot. It worked. He set us up with a nice paid spot near the stadium.

Open up a bigger jail, inside Tiger Stadium

You are so right. Those days were long ago. Most who would remember are now dead.

I hope these fools running LSU realize that once the people with money quit coming and supporting the school it is all over but the crying...
These violent, high, idiots that have taken over LSU game day ain't paying for shite.
You are so right.

It’s the new norm.
4 “football related” shootings in Mississippi this weekend. 2 high school. 2 college. One included 6 dead and 16 injured.
This is where it is all heading.
The softening of criminal sentences under MAGA I and across the criminal justice system over the past few years, combined with weak judges and loosening of bail requirements has led to an understanding that consequences will be minimal. This is only a component of the entire problem, but an important one.

It’s like this at too many ball games now. We drove around outside the Ruston vs. Ouchita game around 2nd quarter, and it was crazy the amount of people just lingering around outside the stadium. I get it at LSU or Ole Miss, but who goes to a HS game just to chill outside the game.
