Keep a bag of canned goods in your car and, if stopped, tell them you've been to the store. Receipt? Threw it away.

Please. You'd be upset if he didn't do it.

This is getting really scary. If things don’t change quick you will start to see all hell break loose

Can I go to the hardware store or Lowe's/Home Depot to get supplies to repair a busted pipe or gas leak?

I bought a bunch of flowers there a few hours ago. One in NOLA. We’ve had the stay at home order here already for several days.

I think this is way overkill. I believe I had the virus in early January even though it allegedly wasn’t here yet. However, I’ve been enjoying not having to rush from one engagement:obligation to the next. It’s been nice to slow down. I find everyone in my neighborhood has been very pleasant. We’re all spending way more time outdoors. I know about the scary negative economic repercussions of this. I’m focusing on a positive.

I will ask again. What gives a governor the authority to do this?

The state has more than 800 positive cases of coronavirus.

As of JBE’s press conference apparently there have been about 3500 tests and 800 cases positive in Louisiana.

So right now only about 22% of the tests are coming back positive and we are only testing the already sick showing multiple signs of covid And who already tested negative for the flu.

As we ramp up testing the infected number will of course go up but it’s more important to look at the mortality rate and the hospitalization rate than simply the number of infected.

A thing to note is the original test kits took multiple days to get results so we will most likely see a spike in case numbers and a media firestorm Monday and Tuesday as these test results come back and then it’ll quiet down as the newer faster tests take over

No. JBE specifically said construction workers should report to work let me find the link.

ETA:

Advocate

quote:

Edwards listed as essential health care workers, staffers in groceries, pharmacies, take-out restaurants and banks. Those working for utilities, refineries, oilfield production, construction and communications also should report to work.

He needs to start showing the people in this state the numbers of COVID-19 Hospitalizations and then project his curves from that. I don't give a crap about how many active cases we have. That data is useless to us at this time due to how many days have passed since the test was administered.

If he is continuing to ratchet up the quarantine, he needs to start giving us real answers.

He needs to do the hard thing and lock down Orleans and Jefferson Parish and keep an eye on EBR as well. 18 of the 20 reported deaths are from Orleans and Jefferson Parish.

Isolate them because after this April 13th deadline all of the other parts of the state will be able to handle whatever cases arise.
