Well, public schools are government so I guess it's just the government setting the rules for itself.
But there are always private schools for the wealthy if they want to get their CRT on. The not so wealthy will have to resort to teaching CRT at home.

Useless legislation matters to me. My leaders wasting time passing useless legislation matters to me.
I remember all of the threads showing this concern when Edwards was in office...
quote:
How do you know? Have you taken CRT classes?
Oh you read one paper.
Actually it was 3. CRT is essentially a curriculum on white people are racist.
quote:
Critical Race Theory is based on the idea that race is socially constructed, at least that’s what reference books state.
Which reference books?
quote:
Children have to be taught that people are classified by their skin colors.
But they aren't, therefore, they don't.
For someone who says that CRT isn't in schools, you seem to be advocating that it should be. And you wonder why this legislation is needed?
quote:
That race is NOT a social construct?
That the premise of CRT, based on the papers you did not read, is a lie.
There was a thread a while back when Tate was announced as a candidate for the LSU presidency. I'll see if i can find it. His papers were in that thread.

was this actually being taught in Louisiana schools to start with
Needed to done regardless. Once upon a time, schools taught that boys have penises and girls have vaginas...

Inherently racists. Apparently white people are born that way.

I missed this statement. They "have to be"?

even if it isn't happening (we all know it is) it should still be banned in case people like you decided to start doing it

Right. Limiting the Government
How does banning something that has never happened limit government?
Would banning the enrollment of lions in schools also be pro-small government?

When you take these liberal theories to their logical conclusions we end up with absurdity (and sometime mass murder).

Were you kids born understanding that some humans with darker skin are called “black”?
My kindergartener still doesn’t know what race is. Everyone is just a person to her. My son learned that people are called “black” and “white” when he started school. You’re saying most kids are born with this understanding?

Do you work for people that sell CRT teaching material to schools?
Posted on 8/28/24 at 10:50 am to 4cubbies
Louisiana K-12 so far behind in education they couldn't get to this on the High School Senior level, let alone before that. Stuff like this is why Louisiana will stay at the bottom of the barrel nationally.

Sure. Banning things that aren’t happening is a great way to positively impact our state.
You're right, the majority of teachers and admin AREN'T liberal cuck yuppies that project their racist bullshite with no accountability into our classrooms constantly. My entire family is or was in education, over 40 years of experience.
Nothing to see here folks, CRT doesn't even exist!

Maybe he should ban teachers teaching anything about slavery. Seems that might help race relations

No. Do you?

How is race a social construct?
Wouldn't race (which is determined by genetics), be a natural construct?

Banning things that aren’t happening
What's the harm in banning things that aren't happening? What's the negative impact, in your opinion?
Posted on 8/28/24 at 10:53 am to 4cubbies
Nobody cares. Except those who need to push buttons to cause trouble.

You’re saying most kids are born with this understanding?
Yes. Unless there is a severe mental retardation, a child has a sense of understanding of "that person doesn't look like me or any of my relatives." They just can't articulate that because they are a child.
quote:
My son learned that people are called “black” and “white” when he started school.
Is he retarded? No? Then he absolutely understood that there is a difference. Whether he chooses to be racist towards different races is based on how he is taught and his life experiences, but your son knew, from the very first time that he saw a black or white kid that that kid was different.
I'm so sick of us having to dumb down the most basic facts of life because liberals interject their fricking feelings into every single thing.

But you feel better in that he's looking out for ....your values as you go broke paying your car insurance, homeowners insurance and overall poor economic environment.
Is CRT holding back economic development and why guys like Dudley Debosier are driving up our insurance costs?
