By comparison, Pecan Island does not have the Sargasso Sea in the path of a hurricane. Cape Canaveral is protected by the Sargasso Sea which lies directly in the path of any approaching hurricane.

Now you know why hurricanes go north or south of Cape Canaveral.

Those crawdads are the ones that get shipped to Texas, that’s their problem. They seem to enjoy tacos and Muslim / Indian ( dot) as of late anyway.

Can something come to WP? I’m ready to retire my truck nutz and work at the house.

Have you ever taken a moment to consult a map and see exactly where Cape Canaveral is located?

You must have thought that was such a smart comment.
Tell me good sir, where is Cape Canaveral and Brownsville in relation to hurricane threat?

They can build storm mitigations. It’s not a trailer park.

It's time we saw more innovation beyond big chemical refineries in Louisiana.

It will be a challenge getting top talent to commit to Vermilion Parish tho.

I mean, you're not wrong. Been working for Honeywell for over 10 years. Started at the site in Baton Rouge, now I'm in Phoenix.

Those sites are always viewed as starter jobs, and the top performers are gone within a year or two. Pay your dues and get out.

Same with Exxon and DOW.

There isn't enough variety of high paying jobs anywhere in the state. The state ran off Shell, and others.

've been watching Louisiana tread water for more than 30 years and nothing ever changes. Watching people on this board get all excited over a data center that will have fewer than 50 employees working at it, a new terminal on the airport, etc. is funny. None of it is going to change anything, because the voters never learn.

I wonder if a certain LSU Alumn is going to be happy with SpaceX next to his Little Pecan Island retreat. I assume he still owns it. He certainly invested a lot of money into.
