Is this really this shite we should be putting people in prison for?

I really don't see what the big deal is, the only reason this is a issue is because these people are famous. Rich people have been buying there kids way into things forever and it won't stop after this. Prison? it is absolutely stupid to put them in prison for this. Make her penalty be that she has to pay a full 4 year ride to college for 20 poor kids.

Make her kid have to get a degree in economics and maintain at least a "B" average with a perfect attendance record all four years. Miss a class without a doctor's note... off to jail.

People go to jail for tax fraud all the time. Rich, poor, famous, anonymous. Nothing special in this case, except it's a good looking woman this time. Send her arse to the slammer.

NO they don't. Al Sharpton owes millions of dollars in unpaid taxes and hasn't been arrested and charged with anything. The only reason she was arrested is because she is rich, famous and white.

Not paying your tax liability is not the same thing as filing a return with false information.

Unles you’re Mark Rich and your wife gives Bill and Hillary $400,000 and Eric Holder says it’s OK to pardon him at the 11th hour of your administration with the understanding that AlGore will make you AG in his new administration. Oops.

Now, according to E! News' sources, Loughlin is in "anguish," realizing that she had failed to fully accept the seriousness of the situation.

Hey dumbass, when you’re arrested and cuffed and taken from your home.......it’s pretty fricking serious !

What is the difference between bribing and lobbying?

Sounds like she was merely lobbying the school to admit her kids.

Not guilty.

Lovely Lori/Aunt Becky and her husbands actions reportedly involved an exchange of money($). Clearly, they were attempting more than just “lobbying.”

This case is so ridiculous.

Pisses me the frick off the FBI spent two years of tax payers dollars to put Lori Loughlin in jail over fricking college...when we have MS-13; murders, drug trafficking and the like.

It's like cops in Compton busting college kids for underage drinking while avoiding the gangs.

It only took 10 months and they have close to 40 people going to jail and will collect $20 million +++ in fines. You likely saved tax dollars on this.

You got it. She has the right to petition the government and that includes a university. It’s a free speech issue.

Why not? Why can a women use "My body/my choice" to kill a child but people can't use "My body/my choice" when it comes to drugs?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

A competent attorney should have been able to take one look at this case and realize what the Feds could throw at her with that superseding indictment and said “settle now.”

Christ, woman, you committed federal tax fraud amongst other things. You think the IRS will look the other way on $1m in bogus donations?

Ironic, because you conservatives support this kind of crap all the time. Republican policy is built on this kind of corruption. Coddling the rich and allowing them to do whatever, regardless of whether it's ethical, legal, or right.
