And only one of them has Trump on it. Giuliani looks giddy in his interview with CBS this morning. Cuomo was recorded for 2+ hours as were many other journalists.

Can a lawyer be disbarred for secretly recording clients and then breaking confidentiality by releasing said recordings?

I would most certainly think so.

The defendant (Cohen) is not releasing them. His lawyer is releasing them. Should his lawyer be disbarred for releasing this evidence.

I am not sure how much time he will have to practice law considering he is about to get sued by every single one of his clients.

No clue, but pretty much every lawyer says it's unethical.

Giuliani said that there's 183 tapes, many of which are still only in the FBI's possession (he hasn't seen them). However, some of the journalist ones he has listened to. Giuliani went on to say that it could be Cohen has been recording people for a while and the FBI is interested in the tapes that haven't been released.

Oh, and Giuliani is confident none of the unreleased tapes have Trump on them. Why? Because the FBI would have been forced to turn them over by now to Trump's legal team. So the question is who is on those tapes? And what is the FBI's interest? Giuliani suggests that Cohen is in trouble and the FBI is investigating HIM.

All 5 of his clients? POTUS and Hannity and 3 others are all the clients he had.

Cohen recorded all the media trying to get scoops and stuff calling him about Trump. So he had the audio for when they'd make shite up. That's why you don't hear more tapes: defeats the fake narrative.

I'd say it was pretty abnormal to say that you'd take a bullet for your boss while at the same time secretly recording him, but maybe that's me.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure his practicing law days are over. Imagine, even if the BAR lets him keep his license, for some insane partisan reason, who in the he’ll would trust this guy as their lawyer?

Absolutely! There is no wiggle room on breaking the privilege as an attorney. Client would have to approve.

And, his credibility is shot. Is he a credible witness now? Courts must weigh that before letting him "flip"

I think the strategy is to discredit him now

He wasn't really practicing much law anyway. He acknowledged to Judge Wood that he only had 3 clients in recent months - Trump, Hannity, and Elliott Broidy. For two of the three his recent work seems to have been officially to secure confidentiality agreements/hush money to mistresses, and the other one (Hannity) denied Cohen was even representing him. Cohen was nevertheless getting paid $35k per month by Trump, so he seems to have been doing something for him, but I think at this point it was mostly for keeping his mouth shut.

Can't wait to hear the media claim these communications between the press and a source should be protected and Cohen simply can't release the tapes.

Giuliani told The New York Times that Trump had paid Cohen about $460,000 or $470,000 in 2017 through a monthly retainer of $35,000, which he said included "incidental expenses." The comment does provide some room for the $130,000 to be a part of that larger sum.

Business Insider

Definitely conjecture. Money also could have been going to payoffs. Since the $130k to Stormy seems to have been built in to that, I suppose other payoffs we don't know about could also have been built in. It all seems a bit "slushy" for that much money to go for dealing with a one case (the MacDougal money didn't come from Essential Consultants, LLC, though Cohen obviously helped arrange it). Avenotti says there were at least 3 other women, though he said they also went through AMI like MacDougal). Bannon said there were "hundreds of women", though that's surely hyperbole and he mentioned Marc Kasowitz being the point man on the women front. I guess we'll see.
