Democrats appear to be gearing up for a series of new legal battles against the White House. House lawmakers are waiting for guidance, which could be released as early as Friday, on the House Judiciary Committee’s ability to compel testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn.

Democrats said McGahn has information related to the Mueller report, which could result in new articles of impeachment against the president. If McGahn is allowed to testify, House Intel Chair Jerry Nadler may be able to subpoena John Bolton to testify as well.

Two key words: Mueller/could

"could" result -- won't result: Nothing related to the M Report is impeachable.

Shouldn't the White House counsel, by definition, be subject to executive and/or attorney-client privilege?

I don't understand why they keep making idiotic decisions to appease the 10 percent of voters who will vote for them regardless.

Is there ever going to come a time when all this witch-hunt crap starts to make a large portion of the dem community on the hill start to say enough is enough? You’re killing us all? Or is it all in with the TDS crew?

They know 2020 elections are going to be a massacre, might as well use everything you have power over as a weapon towards their sworn enemy. Even when it tramples the very constitution they lie about protecting.

Definitely, two bases for privilege. And they don't explain this very well, which I'm sure is intentional....they're just trying to get him in the chair as of now. If they get him in the chair, then comes a new round of subject matter privilege litigation.

There haven't even been any questions yet to assert privilege on. They quite a ways from badgering any Trump people with their cute questions.

You're going to see at least 1 Democrat in the Presidential election come out and say, "Enough is enough. Let's focus on this election and stop with this impeachment thing. It's impractical, counterproductive and just not a good use of energy and resources."

And THAT candidate will then surge in the polls. And then they will drop it.

Problem is - time is running out for this tactic to work for anyone except Bernie and I just don't think he has the sack to do it.

You mean they don't believe the cocksucker, the fake Indian, the communist or the creepy old pedophile doesn't stand a chance in the general

The only thing more reckless for the Dems than trying to impeach Trump the first time, would be to try it again.
