Barr turning out to be another Sessions. Pathetic that he didn't shut down Mueller on day 1. The "investigation" is illegal and a hoax

Not necessarily. It mentions "several ongoing investigations" which would certainly include Mueller and the SDNY inauguration investigation but probably also the SDNY Ukraine investigation (looking into Weber, Craig, Podesta). Maybe others.

I saw where they wanted to extend cooperation agreement with Flynn and Barr asked mueller if they had something concrete or another avenue to fish and said no. Soon after weasel announced he was leaving the mueller cabal.

I think the bff between barr and mueller may not taint him. .My best friends dad was called out of retirement from NASA to testify to congress about the space shuttle explosion. Said it was one of the hardest things he ever had to do, to testify against lifelong friends. But Ill always remember what he said "Sometimes doing the right thing is not the easy thing".

I want to believe Barr came back because it was the right thing...least I hope so.

right out the gate why should Gates cooperate when he mirrored Manafort's crimes? Did he get immunity with Podesta?

This investigation will last as long as it has to, as long as it keeps from having the real collusion from being heard. This has been the plan all along. The real crimes can’t be brought foward until Mueller phony report is out. They will keep this going for another six years if they have to.

Wow

quote:

Richard Gates, former associate to Paul Manafort, leaves the Prettyman Federal Courthouse after a hearing February 23, 2018 in Washington, DC.

Former Trump campaign official Rick Gates "continues to cooperate with respect to several ongoing investigations," special counsel Robert Mueller said in a court filing Friday.

"Accordingly the parties do not believe it is appropriate" to move on to Gates' sentencing phase, the filing in Washington, D.C., federal court said.

The joint report from Mueller and Gates' attorney, which asks a federal judge for 60 more days before providing the next update on Gates' status, comes amid increasing speculation that the special counsel's Russia probe is coming to an end.

The filing also arrives two days after Gates' longtime business partner and former Trump campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, received his final prison sentence on charges lodged by Mueller in federal court.

Gates, alongside Manafort, had initially been charged by Mueller's prosecutors with money laundering, misleading investigators and other crimes.

In February 2018, Gates struck a deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to two criminal counts including conspiracy and lying to FBI agents.

Since then, Gates appears to have cooperated extensively with Mueller's team. His most visible role as a cooperating witness came in August, when he testified against Manafort in his tax and bank fraud trial in Virginia federal court.

Manafort was convicted on eight of the 18 counts lodged against him in that case. He struck his own plea deal on the eve of a second Mueller trial in Washington, D.C., federal court.

This is so one sided but Honest Bob does not need this to give his fake arse report.

I just read the whole article and honest Bob will delay as long as he can. There is no reason why other things can't see sunlight. All of the leaks the one new guy has been leaking shows they don't need any big declass.

'Gates and Podesta skate and Manafort fries Honest Bob will delay as long as he can', should be the headline.

Being that Weismann went to some ethics BS and left the SC and is not arrested says it all. All the dem lawyers were allowed the full witch hunt.

Well, he is a longtime family friend of Mueller's. Mueller attended both of Barr's childrens weddings, and their wives still go to Bible study together, so, realistically, does anyone really think Barr will discredit his friend??
The real question is why was he picked for the position knowing the conflicts of interest involve?

Trump is pretty dumb if he is waiting on “honest bob”to close up shop before he does a declass if the Declass will cause issues for honest bob. If that is the case, honest bob will never close up shop.

Mueller is funded through September, the "investigation" will take exactly long. Actually take longer if under the new budget at the end of Sept. he gets more funding.
