I’ll admit it. 20 years ago I was on board with Cheney. Much of it had to do with how much it pissed off the Left.

If people will remember, before 2000 & 9- 11, the Democrats were sounding very similar to what Republicans sounded like under W.

But when the Republicans won, and we had to go to war in the Middle East again, Democrats pivoted and became the hard antiwar party.

To them, Dick Cheney was effectively Darth Vader. Now it’s funny that they embrace this mindset. All for power.

I’m sure many here have similar experiences. I know I had no clue what polices I actually was voting for when I cast my ballot for Bush in 2000 since I so detested Al Gore.

After 911, the Patriot Act and the buildup to invade Iraq, I realized I had been hoodwinked. So whatever stones I cast at the Bush Regime are stones cast at none but myself.

What really grinds my gears are the supposed “true conservative” stalwarts in the Republican Party who now despise how Trump has transformed the party. They look upon Trump’s supporters as somehow being the equivalent of an uncouth dummkopf who would drop a turd in the punchbowl and spoil the decorum of their little soirée.

It's a mind bender trying to imagine the Cheney Klan, who nearly all Dims loathed just a few years ago are now on Team Kackles. If street level Dims can't see what's going on within their party today they never will.
