He may be brave, but he needs to get some money behind him. I have seen a total of 3 campaign signs for him. I'd like to think that if people in Livingston Parish knew of a viable alternative to Ard they would consider him but I've talked to multiple people who were completely surprised that Ard is not running unopposed.

My dad is a retired LPSO. Sheriff's elections have been rigged since Odom in LP.

Jeff Ard is running for Parish President, I'm not sure we need the Ard's running the whole parish. Some in my family know Jason fairly well and think highly of him. Not sure how I'll vote.

I would love to believe this, but I haven't encountered anyone yet who even knew he was running. I know nothing about McMasters other than what I have read, but I will vote for anyone over Ard.

Jason had a part in the Perkins case. He was a participant. Why do you think Denny just laid down and agreed to a plea deal with no trial?

There are lots of folks who will do the same, but probably not enough. It will be next to impossible to vote Ard out.

100% correct. And made sure Denny accepted the plea deal so discovery/testimony in court couldn’t take place. Ard is trash and deserves to be nowhere near an elected position ever again. The fact that his brother thinks it’s ethical to run for PP speaks to their absurd level of arrogance.

I think those are factually correct statements based on public statements.
I’d be willing to bet a lot of folks in LP don’t even know this. I don’t live in LP or even a neighboring parish but that whole deal stunk to high heavens. It was a known fact Dennis Perkins had issues when he was hired. That was ignored and swept under the rug.

McMasters clearly doesn't have the budget, but his leaflet left at my house says a lot more for him as sheriff than all of signs the Ards have posted in Denham.
I hope people are not influenced by all the eyewash and think about the past performance and qualifications of the individual.
