Congrats!
From an actual governing perspective, how will this be ANY different than when KM was in charge?

Answer, not at all.

I'm sure you'll say, then what's the point. Well, the point is..........if you're gonna have to eat a bowl of shite stew, that doesn't mean you have to be one of the chefs.

The Repubs against KM have said, "well, you keep making that shite, but you're doing it without us".

In the now, that means nothing but if we are EVER going to have REAL Republican party leadership in the house, this is the ONLY way it has any hope of happening.

Do I actually think it'll happen? No. Sadly, I think our country is too far gone. But, at least we can stop pretending KM and his ilk are on "our" side.

I have no idea what point you think you're making,

Gaetz overplayed his hand and is trying to backtrack to making this all about McCarthy, which is idiotic.

Some of us told you Gaetz was playing into the DEMs' hands, and now we're seeing that unfold.

The DEMs getting in a more DEM-friendly SOH would be an example of a good plan coming to fruition.

OK cool. McCarthy is marginalized. What do we win?

in the now? Only that. Nothing more.

We're going to get a speaker more to the left than McCarthy that the DEMs will support for this reason (after being the main instigators in ousting McCarthy).

Which will be completely indistinguishable from if KM had stayed in WITH the Gaetz crew support on the books.

So Democrats winning is a good thing?

Um, they already were winning. Except, they were "winning" with an "R" label next to it that had FULL "R" support on the books.

Then why work with DEMs to oust McCarthy?

Having an extreme minority of Republicans working with DEMs to help DEMs?

That's literally the only thing achieved by Gaetz's ploy.

Now we get to learn that the traditional definition of Republican has been "Democrat" for 50 years

Because KM failed to live up to the deal he made.

Our ONLY chance of real Republicans in the house is for the general population to be forced to take notice that a lot of the "Rs" they keep voting for AREN'T.

Sheesh man. This ain't overnight shite. It didn't get this way overnight that a solid half of our House Republicans are BARELY Republican and scared shitless of being called mean names. It ain't gonna get fixed in a month.......if it ever gets fixed.

Nothing changed. Gaetz told McCarthy he would oust him if he didn’t live up to the deal.

That’s it. Gaetz would probably go along with a CR as well.

I don’t know why you guys are bringing Trump into this.

Whatever bro! Sitting around doing nothing aside from working with the Dems was such a great strategy for Republicans on the flip side of what Gaetz did.

I'd suggest cobbling together 38 state legislatures that support abolishing the House of Representatives if that is your position.

The aid package is 1000000% going to pass when the House starts back up. The opposition to it has no leverage to kill it.

Matt Gaetz is a national treasure.

I don't know why we are complaining. The politicians should be shut down 9 months out of the year.
