Her responses are amazing because they are completely anti-feminist and anti-woman and she doesn't realize it. She's not even considering the possibility that males are disagreeing with her in the same way they might disagree with another man. That engaging her on a subject is actually a level of respect

damn. I should have just gotten a journalism degree, it would allow me to be the SME in anything (and everything).

These female SJW’s live in a make believe world and can’t accept reality when it hits them in the face.

What this dumb bitch considers hate is the fricking truth crashing down hard on her and she either doesn’t want to accept it or she actually thinks her 5.5 years of “covering” the weather is on par with a fricking trained meteorologist.

That is like saying you read all the books on how to fly a plane but have never actually sat in the cockpit and flown a plane.

It's like she was intentionally being a bitch to draw a reaction so she can get on twitter and say "I'm a woman, and look how victimized I am."

"I don't want to talk about this anymore."

I think all y'all know what that means.

"Nothing more than a talking pussy" LOFREAKINGL! I'd use that line on my 13 years younger wife the next time she starts in with some BS but then I'd cave when I started craving some of the subject matter. That's a good line for Trump to use on AOC. His supporters would all laugh and the Bro's would eat it up.

What’s the quote? “You think journalists know a lot about a topic until they report on a topic you know a lot about.”

I have never heard that exact quote before but it sums up my beliefs entirely.

I recall early in my aerospace career during the reentry process when a reporter announced we were waiting on the 121,920 meter threshold - she was referring to what we commonly called "400K" (in ~feet) or ~.05g.

This was when I realized that they were really just pushing the metric system, and had no idea of the significance of the data.

This may be the best description of feminists ever written.

Honestly, this analogy even gives her too much credit.

It would be more like reading all of United's marketing and business materials and thinking that qualifies you to fly a United aircraft.

The late Michael Crichton pointed out a greater problem associated with this - he called it the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect:
quote:

Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect works as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well...you read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward-reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories...you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story - and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read with renewed interest as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about far-off Palestine than it was about the story you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

this is the other side of the "everyone gets a trophy" coin. This gal has prob never been challenged no matter how stupid her position. In her generation, you are taught to ignore absolutes and value everyone's opinion without judgement.

Growing up she likely never had her friends call her a dumass. A teacher call her a moron. A boss call her a dipshite. These things are an important part of becoming an adult. You can tell by her ridiculous argument that she is a child.

That's what I enjoyed most.
It's wasn't a dumbass like me trying to tell her something. It was Ryan Freaking Maue reporting about a hurricane

Glorifying the notion of "my truth" leads to the above.
