It's remarkable that this guy essentially defeated a sitting governor who has an actual policy track record. I mean, I don't agree with anything she's done, but she has actually done stuff that leftists want and has shown she can be effective. And yet, this oyster farmer with a nazi tattoo is going to beat her? Can someone make it make sense?

I don't know anything about the guy...but why can't a white guy change. Once a white guy does something, he's irredeemable but not so for other races? Need to be consistent whether this guy is a democrat or republican.

Apparently drunk marines do stupid things. Also, I had zero clue the symbol he got tattooed was ever used by the Nazis and this was Claude’s response when I asked where it was used.

It was used by the SS starting in 1933, most notoriously by the SS-Totenkopfverbände (concentration camp guards) and the 3rd SS Panzer Division “Totenkopf.” Wehrmacht Panzer crews wore a similar but distinct version on their collars.”

He can change. It’s pretty fricking easy to get his Nazi tattoo covered up though… and he’s avoided doing so for many years now. Imagine if it was a Republican running for that seat with a Nazi tattoo on his chest. You think the Republicans would get the benefit of the doubt about “change” you think Platber should be shown as a Democrat?
Hell no the Republican wouldn’t. It would be non stop coverage and discussion about it and there would be massive protests at every campaign stop if he was a Republican.
