Trump did not win the 2016 Popular Vote.

What do people keep pointing this out it is irrelevant, it has no bearing on Trump being president, or anything else, our system requires a candidate to win states not individual voters.

How does being an independent make you the "average American"?

Why do I always get this vibe from people who claim to be "independent"? A vibe that they care more about what they aren't, than what they are...that always ends up in some form of public self felacio.

Take this post for example.

I believe this too. But, I don't give a shite. Not my job to fix it. I'm not gonna fall behind just to let them catch up, no matter the race or whatever. Let them do the work.

I agree 100% with OP, and am a registered independent who is radically moderate - conservative on economicand security issues, and liberal on social issues. Roughly 11% in this board upvoted this post and 89% downvotes which puts this board in the radical ALT Right category. The radical left and radical right are the biggest problem with America and is tearing us apart. The only way to unify America is for radical moderates / centrists to gain power and legislate balanced government instead of the Totalitarian - Facist playbook modeled after Stalin, Hitler, Putin, Erdogan, and other dictators that Trump is using that has so many of you captivated. Democracy works from the middle out, not from the radical fringes either left or right. One day moderation will rule again, and that will make America great.

Another "I'm gonna bitch about the way things are but not to the point to do anything about it" post. That's exactly why we have what you opine about. No one has the balls to actually do anything about it.

BTW, you need to add Lyndon Johnson to your list if you want to appear credible with your statement.

I call BS on your entire OP premise. Your main theme is that HRC won the popular vote. Big whoopie flip California and East coast progressives are not reps of America. As well as I would bet good money illegals voted to allow her winning the popular vote. Obama encouraged illegals to vote. It is a federal law that they cannot.

You are off on your extreme right and left. The left are Keith Ellis, marxists and socialists extreme, like it or not, which are the 'progressive' democrats. The extreme right (white supremacists) are not in power. They have no say and don't have an extremist member as chair of the party-- as the left does. It is the house Freedom Caucus that are stuck in the middle of the prog left and the GOPe uniparty.

The left lauds the black panthers and terrorist organizations using CAIR as a front. The democrats are the KKK. The left are the KKK.

Democracy is built on consensus and inclusion, and the constitution is designed to protect against extremism. Extremism is precisely what most of you right wingers are advocating and it is dangerous.

I don’t like Bernie Sanders any more or less than Trump. From my view, they are two of same - advocates of radical ideology instead of real statesmen/womenship that can gain consensus and unite the company. Congress is equally radicalized. What if Bernie was president and led by executive order like Trump is doing and ordered socialism across our entire government? Would be the same thing of what Trump is doing with extreme right executive orders.

The inability of the executive branch and the legislative branch to actually be the vehicle to pass laws whether it was Obama’s executive orders, or now Trump has led us to Totalitarian - Executive order Federal Government.

This is a massive problem for a democratic America. Democracy works from the Middle - Out like our founding fathers intended.

Anyone who knows anything about the constitution knows this could not happen. You need to learn more about the basics.
