Good point but no Chairman is going to tell "FBI council" to leave. The MSM would call it obstruction for Trump. I overall agree that none of them are using their oversight powers. The ones that start to probably get blackmailed Patraeus style, (and or they know anything can be planted to control them) They have a tax funded slush fund to pay for their page boys and whores.

Nope. Congress has oversight over ALL FBI and DOJ matters, period. They don't tell Congress what they can and can't hear.

Congress has oversight authority of all DOJ and FBI matters and personnel. They may go to closed proceedings, but they don't keep secrets from Congress.

They will obfuscate and run out the clock. Pretty simple since they have every reason to use the mechanisms of power and coercion to protect their own interests. I’m just saying, if you are waiting for The Truth followed by commensurate punishment, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. The fact that we are able to inch closer to Truth is a minor miracle in itself, for which we should be grateful.
