I do believe this would make a very interesting path for passing the SAVE Act. Simply kill two birds with one stone.

Let's link this with the SAVE Act and get it passed!!

No way. Pay your damn bills and limit voting to in-person with valid ID (with the obvious exception of mail-in for deployed military).

Love this idea, if only for the conundrum in places the Dems in. On one hand, they have been trying to pass the debt forgiveness for years now, so it would be a win. On the other, passing the Save Act seals their doom.

Place both on the same bill? Which way do they vote??

I worked nights loading trucks in a warehouse to go to college with no loans and now they want to forgive loans of kids that partied instead of being responsible. Talk about rewarding bad behavior.

Not everyone that took loans partied. Maybe they only took loans for what they could afford. Or they already had kids and needed a little extra to make ends meet while getting themselves in position to make more money with an associate’s degree at a career college. (Mr. Bluestem’s two year cardiac sonography program cost $55k, half of which we fronted ourselves.)

That being said, we’re going to pay every penny of that back. And everyone who takes student loans should be required to pay a significant portion of them back.

Dems would throw student loan borrowers under the bus.
Voter id is their death warrant

Oh, I agree but they just will not do it. Forgiving student loan debt is a small price to pay for fair elections. The democrats would suffer many aneurisms trying to vote no on such a bill that includes both.

Don't you know it. It only takes a couple of DC mouths to get this party started!! MSM would work overtime to keep this plan from being talked about or discussed.

My job certification requires a masters degree. I took out a loan for the degree and have used that degree for years to provide a decent living for my family.

Why should the lady who rings up my groceries pay for my degree. She is not benefitting from my degree. I should have to pay back my loan from the salary I make with my degree.

If I don’t make enough to pay the loan back I shouldn’t have gotten the degree.

Nothing says a big FU to millions of people who paid their damn bills or people who had to forego school because they could not afford loans like excusing deliquent student loans. Isnt this just more pandering to the Millenials and Gen Z s who cant find their way out of a paper bag on their own. frick No!

Actually, the majority of the debt is for post-grad degrees.

So, people who already had a degree and should have needed help the least.

Nothing says a big FU to the marxist or communist crowd, disguised as democrats, than passing the SAVE Act. If forgiving student loan debt is what it takes, it must be done.

Can you even imagine the benefits to our society once US elections are completely legitimate?

Chances are very good she does not pay taxes. But you and I both know the tremendous societal benefits provided her from secure elections in the USA, don't we?
