I agree. Lindsey just got re-elected to a nice cushy 6 year term. Being a centrist Republican, he'll be courted by the Democrats along with Murkowski and Susan Collins. Much like McCain he'll be a swing vote and power broker on many key issues.
Trump is gone in 11 days, Lindsey's term ends in 2027.
