It’s like they $25 an hour minimum wage things. Like they believe prices won’t go up when businesses have to pay them more.
This is why the majority of pinkos are young. Stupid and lacking in life experience.

IF Medicare for all or anything similar ever passes, medical care will be rationed like never before. Medicare/Medicaid payout at such a minuscule amount compared to private insurance that it will be nearly impossible to find a specialist. Many doctors don’t accept M/M or very few patients because they can make significantly more while seeing fewer patients. It will be a train wreck without significantly increasing payouts

It will be crappy medicine……some immigran with a med degree from Tehran will be your doctor..no specialists either. They cost too much

Simple, they pass the law and tell the IRS to seize what they need.

They don’t work or pay taxes so have no idea how social programs work.

If we pay the exact same amount we pay right now, would that fund it?

It would fund the yuro version of healthcare but not the America version of healthcare.
The fact of the matter is drug, hospital and physician lobbies will never allow reimbursement to be as shite here as it is in Europe.

Doesnt matter. To the lazy POS living in mom's basement who posts online about how unfair life is and has never worked a job, the idea of the govt giving him free cradle to grave health care, because its a "right" is music to his ears.

It actually can work… I’ll explain best I can in text.
1. Medicare - Currently, the people on Medicare currently are either retired or on disability. It’s paid for by federal tax dollars that some/most pay to. Medicare reimbursement is the standard for private insurance companies.
2. Medicaid - state sponsored for the poor in general. Reimburses at a fraction what Medicare pays. Hospitals lose money with Medicaid. So the federal government (pays more in Medicare to offset set Medicaid low reimbursement.
3. Private insurance premiums for a family are nearly $8,000 a year. But before you get to use your insurance, you have to pay an additional $2,000 (roughly) a year deductible ($10,000 per year…. Just in case)
4. Taxes - We should be able to pay less taxes. Everyone has health care/“Medicare for all“ less medical costs - majority of health burden is low income population. They are able to get healthy faster with less long term health problems (since it’s actually getting treatment).
- currently ~ 25% of federal budget goes to healthcare. Thats works out to $2.18 trillion …. Which equals $6,800 per citizen (remember tho, private insurance premiums and deductible are about $10,00 per year).
— long story, short: private insurance companies are profiting ($54 billion last year)
- pay less a year per citizen in costs (private insurance is against you, not with you).
- stop sending money to foreign countries.

It’s pretty simple
The expected cost of the program comes to b/w 15,000-22,000 per person
That’s $5-$8trillion a year
Just tax the rich

So what you are saying is this doesn't lower the cost of healthcare.
Imagine that.

No Waterhead, what we pay now would not pay for what they describe. Is that understandable to you?

I dunno but our current system is completely broken, it makes no sense to fight so hard to keep a broken system. I’m not talking about healthcare but the system of paying for it. Half the country can’t afford it. The various offerings seem needlessly complex to where you need a degree in insurance to understand it. Your employer whose specialty is not health insurance has to manage your health insurance, and whether you can get healthcare is tied to your employment which traps you there. There is no pricing mechanism in your healthcare so it’s not like the market is at work making things more efficient or better.
So much wrong with how we do things but hey at least we’re not like those damned lib Euros
