May or may not be something David Letterman said, but still applicable.

No I don't. The body of writing is applicable no matter who it's attributed to.

It's pretty safe to assume Letterman didn't write that.

It could have been one of his top 10 list? I imagine he pokes fun at either side at times.

That was very good, and One Hundred Percent true.

But I thought that the punchline and number one reason was going to be:

I vote Democratic because I AM DEAD.

Really, I don't see the need to involve Letterman. I thought you might have better standards. Apparently not.

The fact you think it's even remotely possible that David Letterman penned that...

Dude, the article attributed it to Lettertman. I don't have the capabilities of searching through everyone of Letterman's top 10 archives to know if it's really one of his or not. That's besides the point anyway so chill.

So your saying that Letterman is such a political hack that he wouldn't spoof his own party for laughs? I've seen him lampoon Obama and I'm pretty sure he is a supporter.

#5. I vote Democrat because I’m not concerned about millions of
babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive
and comfy.

This is definitely the common moronic dumbocrat!

And of course don't forget this one for the environmentalists.......

…And the #1 reason I vote Democrat is because I think it’s better to
pay $billions$ for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own
because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher or fish here in
America. We don’t care about the beetles, gophers or fish in those
other countries.

Have you ever seen a Letterman top ten list? They're all about 10 or so words, usually somewhat witty, and don't alienate a majority of the viewers. These are obviously way too long-winded and emotionally charged to qualify.

You have a point. It's still funny and pertinent.

That is definitely not a Letterman top 10 list.

For the most part, not really. And no, nothing like a real Letterman top ten.

Those sound like comments below a blog post on National Review. They're not even close to funny.
