Let's not forget - we are to love one another. I love African Americans.

We are called to love one another. It is easy to fall into the trap of the Left's culture war surrounding all of the "racist" narratives with which we are inundated via mainstream news.

It's not about hating another race. They want you to stoke their culture war. Don't fall into their traps.

Happy Friday.

Good post OP

As many issues I may have with prevailing black culture, I have inherently no more worth than anyone else. Same for gay people, people who claim to be trans, etc.

As a Christian, I am called to love my neighbor, and my neighbor is everyone.

I'm also told that there are no distinctions like race and sex when it comes to who we are to love, so I love blacks as well as whites, as we are all made in the image of God with inherent value and dignity that should be preserved and upheld.

Racism is evil.

Assuming the reference from Scripture with which you are making that statement, I believe you are taking it out of context.

It was a period during which God specifically commanded Abraham and his descendants to marry within their tribe because outsiders were into paganism and false deity worship. It was a matter of the preservation of purity of His people who were worshipers of the one true God. It had nothing do with "race" or skin color as it is referenced today.

Weird

Yet you single out a specific group while saying groups shouldn't matter. Apparently they are top of mind to you!

Guilty as charged. Do you have a suggestion then on how to "reference" the aforementioned "referenced group"?

We balance on the knife edge of "political correctness" as if "political correctness" really matters.

The sentiment of my original statement still stands regardless.

This is a beautifully succinct caption for whom we are up against.

"Misery loves company" as they say.

I don't love anyone except for my wife, my kids, and my parents.

I don't love black people
I don't love white people
I don't love asian people
I don't love hispanic people

I do think they are all equal though, and all deserve equal opportunity to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

If you would rather be around a black conservative than a white liberal, then you know you're not racist, you just prefer to be around like-minded individuals. I am a culturalist, not a racist, although I will still make jokes.

The subtle racism that many on here deem to be racism is (at least IMO) rooted by those same people who want the black community to flourish.

Unfortunately, it's painfully obvious they have taken steps away from flourishing and that is just plain sad. That also means a generation of kids are going to be shitheads with parents who aren't teaching their kids how to behave in society.

It's a sad reality and hopefully the grifters like Ben Crump and Sharpton get the blame. They are only hurting their own people.
