I love Willie's music and I'll be sad when they bury his smoky old bones 'neath a white oak tree' on the Pedernales River. But it really bothers me any time he gets political. I bet Merle would both agree with Willie and tell him to shut his mouth at the same time.

That’s a nice sentiment Willie; however, you missed the point that that the folks who came through Ellis Island were seeking immigration through legal means and didn’t swim up on our shores, cross our rivers or dig their tunnels in the dead of night.
