I think RB is just a loon. But she's aware of the history of black people being labeled apes in this country (and elsewhere) and she's an idiot for using that comparison. My guess is she's not intending to dehumanize, but I'm not going to go to bat for someone who intentionally steps over that line. She made her bed, etc.

Yes, but I hate it when people lump in an irrational argument (the OP) with a rational one to try and boost the irrational argument.
FWIW I think all racism is overblown. There are very few true racists remaining on either side. Black racism isn't common for that reason, and the attention given to that concept by conservatives is misplaced IMO.
In other words, I prefer the focus being on pointing out how 99 out of 100 things labeled racist aren't racist, rather than the tired "black people are racist too" thing.
