Sounds like "LBJ" (those aren't his initials) doesn't think the kids that graduate from his school can make it at OSU. Once again, Democrats are using the soft bigotry of low expectations against the black community.
If he really cared more about the kids instead of his own image, he would send them to a college where at least half of them will graduate. My guess is that Akron is giving his foundation a discount on the full scholarship in exchange for publicity. OSU doesn't need such gimmicks.
Also, if some kid that does graduate from his school is good enough for Ivy League or MIT, is he going to tell them that he will only pay if they go to Akron? There is no reason a scholarship foundation would align themselves with a single university like Akron unless they are getting something in return or the whole thing is merely a plan to promote someone's brand and image.
