If you look at the two images side by side it’s very obvious which one is doctored.
The hilarious part is the Russians just erased their KIA, copied UKR’s KIA to RUS, then switched the digits on UKR side to go from 17k to 71k. It’s like telling a child to make it look better.

agree. No one here really knows.
But I will say that if Russia lost just 25% of the soldiers that Ukraine had lost that they would have taken Kiev, and steamrolled West. Those numbers really don’t make sense.
I'm not sure if taking kiev was ever the actual objective. That's what American politics wanted you to believe.
It looks more like they will take a good chunk and control the water before digging in.
Who knows though.

The contents I’ve been able to review appear authentic.

Edit to clarify: Likely that someone on or adjacent to 4chan made the sloppy modifications.

They - the left - all use hackers to place blame on an invisible boogeyman that never does jail time.
Truth is they and China employ 99% of the worlds hackers.
Sure Israel, Russia, and Iran have them too, not having them would be like not having tanks.
Seems most likely that they are announcing a reason for the failure.
Hackers and Russia.
They lie by default.

So Kiev was a feint? So what was the loss of Kharkov for the Russians? What was the retreat from Kherson?
Perhaps they were all planned, but if Russia was attacking abd were only losing one man to every four Ukes, it doesn’t make sense. They drafted 200,000 men. They started eith several hundred thousand. Russia should be on the offensive ftom day ine and not retreating and building defenses.

Open your eyes and stop supporting a country trying to reestablish the communist Soviet Union. It’s weird.
What’s weird is that you think this is an actual thing. Well it’s not really weird, it’s just mentally retarded. I mean, first, Russia isn’t a communist country. It hasn’t been for over 30 years, so it’s sort of difficult to put the band back together, as you say, without the guitar, drums and bass.
Now to the part about invading “former Soviet bloc countries in Eastern Europe.” Are you honestly going to say that this is a possibility? Please provide one data point that supports your conclusion? What other European countries has Russia invaded? So far, since 2014, Russia has taken a tiny slice of Ukraine. No other European country has been invaded. Now we can certainly debate the morality of that invasion, but it’s sort of difficult for us, the USA, to claim any moral authority over when it is moral for a country to invade another country.
The problem with people like you is that cling to archaic Cold War applications of foreign policy. Our entire military industrial complex was built on the premise of inevitable conflict with the USSR and it never changed, albeit with minor detours into the arena of asymmetrical warfare for a few years.
Regardless of all that, can you honestly look in the mirror and say Ukraine, whether as an independent country or as a conquered nation of Russia impacts your life in any substantial way? The reality is you can’t, but you are hanging on for dear life to the tired tripe of “kill a commie for mommy.” The problem is mommy is old or dead and there ain’t any commies.

One of the slides said 16,000 to 17,500 Russian soldiers had been killed while Ukraine had suffered as many as 71,500 troop deaths.
Russian Propaganda edited doc:
Actual table from the doc (not Russian edited):
you can see in the first one the number are not evenly spaced nor are they all on the same line plane.....
OrYX - Russian visually confirmed losses:
LINK
an on the equipment loss numbers, Oryx has photo evidence on shows 71 russian planes shot down and 70 helos shot down. and ground vehicles destroyed are 6450 as of today. report docs that were leaked are from 3/1/23
Correct table of Russian Losses is in line with ORYX losses.....
Ukrainian Oryx visually confirmed losses:
ORYK - Ukraine Losses
61 plnes destroyed and 31 helos destroyed (in line with the correct leaked table of losses)

Update: There is an earlier source before 4chan -- and it's even dumber than 4chan! Will share more on it eventually.
…
Not posting it for now but in short: all of the images (including the ones on 4chan and shared by Russian TG channels) were shared early March.
The source is even sillier than 4chan.
There are 10 total documents in the original leak. Some I haven't seen posted anywhere else.
…
(It's not War Thunder Forums)
Some of the docs here that aren't in the 4chan or Russian TG versions include maps of the Kharkiv area and Kherson, and an additional page to the "Combat Equipment Build" section.
…
March 4th is the date these ten documents were uploaded -- if anyone has found anything that predates this, let me know.

I've seen the same source. It's definitely an earlier source of the images by more than a month, so the images have been online for a while before they became a big news story. I suspect they went unnoticed for a while.
…
And for those wondering, it's the version with the higher Russian casualties, so more confirmation it was altered when it went viral.
…
And given the context I really doubt this is a Russian hack and dump.

The originals were apparently uploaded to a Minecraft Discord channel back on March 4th. So, they've been on the web for a while, and only just now became a story.

Well, looks like other people found it. So here it is: the first source I can find for the leaked documents is a Minecraft Map Discord channel.

Of course you believe that shite you fricking fool.
It's obvious the US government is doing damage control. It's obvious as day.
So we believe the government when it supports our preconceived biases but call it damage control when the information goes against what we believe?
You're no better than the looney leftists.

If it were 17,500 to 71,500 in Russia's favor this war would be over by now. Report is shite.

The un-altered doc shows roughly a 2-1 kill ratio in favor of the Ukrainians (low estimate to low estimate or high estimate to high estimate).

Putin has been the supreme leader for over 20 years. In that 20 years he increased the state-ownership of natural resources (& production), media/TV, banking, etc. from ~10% to over 50%. This is similar to the US government saying “we now own Chase, Exxon, Fox News, and CBS.”
If you can’t see what’s happening, sorry for your blindness.
Russia already controls Belarus via the Union State (aka new USSR). They have Kazakstan begging to join them already. Putin’s plan was to roll through Ukraine, claim it all, allow Kazak to join, then recapture the caucuses and bam. There’s your USSR.
All Putin cares about is his legacy. If he can be the man to restore Russia’s former perceived glory, he’ll start WW3 to do so.

And if Putin is so bad and losing so many troops why hasn’t he nuked them? Isn’t that his MO of why we must stop him?
