One of the slides said 16,000 to 17,500 Russian soldiers had been killed while Ukraine had suffered as many as 71,500 troop deaths.

Tells me Zelensky is in a war he knows he cannot win but as long as he can funnel money from United States taxpayers and gets a cut for himself, he is okay with.

Same thing that happened to the 50 mile long Trump caravan. Defeated by a dozen freaks standing in circles.

So now we believe government reports? LOL

I take government reports the same way I take posts on the internet and assume that 80% is made up/trolling.

Who has an incentive to make this shite up and why?

I don’t know if it’s true or not, I’m just not sure I get what the angle would be either way.

Anybody remember the leaked Mossad documents? They indicated Ukraine losing massive numbers of troops compared to Russian losses. Also indicated Ukraine held almost no POWs-300 something IIRC. That is now 2 releases in agreement of Ukraine suffering much higher losses than Russia.

Of course, I refuse to subscribe to NYT, so I don't have the specific numbers. Probably on twitter somewhere now.

I can believe it. I know some people may mock those numbers because they believe a billion Russian soldiers have been killed and only like 10 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed.

Russia seems more strategical than Ukraine. The only time Ukraine can do something big is when we give them intel and do the planning for them, imo. The time in between our Intel, they probably just send wave after wave of soldiers to die. Some sort of real life zapp brannigan strategy.

Yeah those numbers are bad. Russia doesn't even have 100K combat troops fielded right now. I'd say most Russia has on deployment right now is around 40K total. Ukraine has around 80K troops per current battlefield reports on the front lines.

both European and US government are estimating around 70K-100K Ukrainian casualties. so the true number is in between. I'd say 75K total Ukraine KIA/WIA/MIA/POW.

So you’re saying that Russia retreated in the north from Kiev, in the east, and in the south because they had 16,000 killed?

I guess they just don’t make Russians as tough as they used to!

They have links to the report but literally just snipped out/ ignored the casualty counts from the leaked docs. This one page after they were chuckling about the "propaganda bubble" russians are in.

The only thing I know is that some pro-Ukraine channels are pretty pissed b/c word is there are only 40K Ukraine troops for the Spring offensive.

It's 100 percent biblical at this point. We're living in an age where we have access to all knowledge and information (minus Epstein list) and very little of it can be trusted.

They can’t even use aviation on the enemy side of the front lines. That in itself shows that they are not a very capable force. They outnumber the enemy. They have (or had)the overwhelming advantage in armored vehicles, tanks, and warplanes. They have long range missiles and the Ukrainians don’t. It’s pretty clear that they’re not a very capable force at all. It’s been over a year. They have not only made made minimal progress in the last 8 months but they have ceded large swaths of land near Kharkiv and Kherson back to Ukraine. During that same period of time they have lost more land than they have taken. Of course, you know all of this already. You’re just so anti democrat that anything they support, no matter what it is, youre against. For whatever reason that has inhibited you and many others on this board from displaying rational thoughts and opinions. This rings especially true when it comes to the Russian-Ukrainian war. If the Democratic Party came out tomorrow and said they are nominating Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential nomination then you’d despise him. If in that same press release Biden announced military support for Russia and the breaking of relations with Ukraine you would likely be on here spouting bullshite supporting Ukraine. Open your eyes and stop supporting a country trying to reestablish the communist Soviet Union. It’s weird.

If any of you believe this, goodness!

I'm no fan of this war and our funding of it, first of all. But if you think a country that sent 150,000 troops into a neighboring country with virtually no air force or navy or armor, then 6 months later had to fall back, regroup, mobilize 300,000 more with military experience and 6 months after that has made very little progress has only lost 16-17.5k in battle, LMFAO!

I get it, we don't want our money in this war, but our tax dollars have easily taken out more than that.

But just think, Ukraine will lose the war in 2 years instead of 2 months (and the lives and infrastructure that comes with prolonging a losing war) thanks to the American Taxpayer.

This conflict is a mindfrick. I rarely believe anything from a source like NYT as they basically repeat CIA/FBI/Pentagon talking points. But, in this case, what they are saying is not good for Ukraine. We have to ask why? Are they softening the public up to cut bait on Ukraine? Is somebody leaking something to get back at Biden or Nuland/Blinken/Sullivan? I have no idea.
