If just every other car jacker next week signs it, recall is golden.

Recalling a black mayor during black history month...

If she plays her race card correctly she may get more votes than last time.

The fact that the petition appears to be struggling, even after all of the damning news and stories that came out, tells you all you need to know about the direction New Orleans is headed.

Struggling?? If they got that many signatures in New Orleans and are really only just over 1000 signatures short, it's a fricking miracle. Recalls are damn-near impossible with how many signatures of voters they require. That's why you never see them succeed. I would see this as optimistic. It has been a sea of dumbasses for a long time, so even coming close to succeeding on a recall of this dumb bitch is a positive.

They were collecting signatures at the parades this weekend but the vetting didn't seem to be very thorough.

They probably had people from other parishes signing.

I thought so which makes this seem pretty unlikely. I’d love it to happen but I’m not optimistic at all.

I think half of the people signing the recall are from Metairie and elsewhere… so them saying they’re 1,000 short is misleading

Honestly it’s remarkable how well it’s doing - it’s roughly up to the number of votes she received to be elected. Which is 65% of total votes cast last election.

Believe me, this is one of the most frustrating things of all. Completely inept leadership governing equally apathetic voters.

I had to show my ID so they could see my Orleans address and go to the Louisiana Geaux Vote site on my phone to enter in my voting info. on the form for verification.

Their original target had like 10% buffer

I wonder if this includes that or is the bare minimum to submit with zero rejected

Yeah, the woman in front of me couldn't figure hers out, so they let her sign anyway.

Not sure how many duplicates and errors they have, but hope they get their buffer

It's smart either way because people are more likely get off their arse to do something if they think it has a realistic chance of succeeding.

If Latoya’s people were smart they would get every non eligible person they know to sign.
