Justice will prevail. July 8, 2024 -

A missile hit the toxicology department of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, the country's largest children's cancer hospital. The roof of the building collapsed, resulting in the death of two adults. Ukrainian authorities stated that 16 people were injured, including seven children.

Cancer patients were evacuated from the hospital with their parents. At the time of the strike, there were over 600 patients in the hospital. Among them were children from neighboring Moldova, one of whom was at the operating table at that moment.[

Visit to Kyiv by US envoys at risk due to Russian intimidation

Olha Kovalchuk, STANISLAV POHORILOV — 4 September, 13:21

US President Donald Trump's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are discussing alternative plans for their visit to Kyiv in the coming days amid Russian intimidation.

Source: Kyiv Independent, citing a source familiar with the matter, as reported by European Pravda

Details: The source told Kyiv Independent that Witkoff and Kushner plan to visit Moscow and Kyiv on 5-6 September, but Witkoff has "started to get scared" of travelling to the Ukrainian capital.

"The Russians don't want them to come here to Kyiv, and Witkoff is always sensitive to Russian sentiment," the person said. "They're being told there that it's dangerous."

Background:

The report came a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Witkoff and Kushner have confirmed that they might visit Ukraine. This comes as Kyiv is facing continuous attacks by Russian jet-powered drones, which entered their ninth consecutive day on 4 September.
Russian media outlets reported that Witkoff and Kushner will arrive in Moscow before travelling to Kyiv. According to TASS, this is expected to take place on 5-6 September.

Ukrainian forces struck the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in Bashkortostan on September 4 [1300km]. Damage was reported to the Agidol production workshop, an overpass at the isoprene workshop and isopentane dehydrogenation units at two workshops. The plant has halted operations. The facility, part of Roskhim, produces synthetic rubber, aviation gasoline and petrochemicals, including Agidol phenolic antioxidants used as an aviation fuel additive and to stabilize synthetic rubber.

A Russian Shahed directly struck the office of acting SBU chief Oleksandr Poklad inside the Security Service's central building in Kyiv, President Zelensky said. The strike hit near Volodymyrska Street, close to Zoloti Vorota, and a fire broke out at the scene. Zelensky said he instructed Poklad to prepare an "adequate" and "tangible" response to Russia, adding that it should be delivered when everything is ready.
quote:

Zelensky: Spoke with the head of the SBU, Poklad. Unfortunately, a Russian drone hit the central building of SBU on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, opposite the St. Sophia Cathedral.

All those injured will be provided with the necessary assistance. The drone was sent directly to the office of the head of the SBU in this building.

I gave Poklad the task of adequately, noticeably and, if possible, mirroring the Russians' response to this attack, when everything is prepared. Our military will support this response.

Targeting a government office? Ok, I guess meat is back on the menu - First course: The Lubyanka in Moscow lies about 900 metres (980 yd) north-east of Red Square.

I was in downtown Kyiv about an hour ago when I heard a large explosion.

I thought a drone had been intercepted right above our building, but then got a message that a cafe near the office was hit.

Those videos are all over social media right now.

The Russians targeted the main SBU building in downtown Kyiv, near a main metro station, around dozens of cafes, hotels, and iconic churches.

The last two weeks in Kyiv have been very hard with non stop air raid alarms, almost every hour through the days and nights.

Drones are getting through more and more because they are now jet powered.

Ballistic missiles get through because Ukraine needs Patriot missiles.

Winter is coming and the situation is not good, and deteriorating.

This war is escalating, and we're going to start seeing strikes from both sides on the seats of government in both countries.

Russia has much more to lose here than Ukraine...How long until Ukraine puts a few into the Kremlin?

Saw some rumors that the drone was launched from within Ukranian territory as part of the intelligence service "gang war".

Obviously take that with a healthy dose of salt.

Why would they do that when it's the Kremlin losing this war for Russia?

You made the point that there are 'retards' running their military and you're not wrong. So why would you kill the idiots?

Ukraine has killed a few generals and higher ups using their drone technology, but that indicates that they were either responsible for individual acts that had to be revenged, or that they were actually good at their jobs.

I wouldn’t bomb the Kremlin either. I think it could stir up some Russian morale.

Some reports say that there is going to be a short ceasefire while Kushner and Witkoff visit Kyiv and Moscow.

It seems a ground (not air) ceasefire has legs on the Ukrainian side. We'll see.

BREAKING A ceasefire order until September 8, with mirror responses to any moscovian violation.

Fine. But let’s be clear: moscovia understands pauses as rearmament windows, not peace gestures.

The fuel crisis across 88 of 89 regions, the closed beaches in Gelendzhik, the panic over Ukrainian drones, that’s the actual context.

They’re hurting.

So the mirror principle must be automatic, not diplomatic. Every broken window, every hit bus, every missile on Odesa gets an answer. No free pauses for an empire that only negotiates with itself.
